LFP - Galactic Sliders - Weekly on Friday, starting at 18:00 CEST

An Alien Ship has appeared in Earth's orbit and its wreaking havok on our planet's magnetic field. S.W.O.R.D. (Special World Organization for Reconnaisance and Demilitarisation) is sending up a team of specialists to deal with this problem. The ship has alien markings which linguists have identified as ancient celtic and translated as 'the Walkure'. You are at the threshold of a daring adventure across space and dimensions, playing a ragtag crew of individuals, each with their own unique skills and abilities, as they try to find a way home. This game brings together elements from 'Lost in Space', 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and the 80ties scifi show 'Sliders', and is played in the mood range of Star Trek TNG (Cerebral Adventures) and Stargate Universe (Gritty Drama). The crew is nearly complete, we have room for one more player who has a choice of 3 remaining roles - the Soldier, the Medic or the Scientist. If this has wet your apitite and you like to join, use the following link to our LFG-listing: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/116777/galactic-sliders and follow the instructions in 'Game Discussions'.

By default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public , but even then people not in the game can not post to the forums . The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)

Thx the link to our game has been edited. I hope i did it correctly this time.
I can't click the link but I am interested. I am CST and never played a sci-fi setting before but would like to learn. The time works for me. I would be interested in the scientist.

You posted the link to your Game Details page. You need to post the link to your LFG Listing, which you'll find a link to from your game details page (but no one else can see that). You can tell you have the right link when it says /listing/ in the url instead of /campaign/.

I'm very sorry for the confusion, but as far as i can tell i only have access to what i asume is the Game Details page (the one i see when i log on to roll20) and what i asume is the LFG listing (for one thing cuz it has 'Listing' in the URL like you said). So if neither of them are in fact the LFG listing (and i tried them both), then which is the right one? Plz bear in mind that i'm probably not as computer-savvy as you, so i think i might need visual aids, or at the very least plain english, when you explain it to me. That way i won't have to use the Invite link and kick 20 potential players from the group just to find 1 new player. Furthermore (and i hope you won't take this the wrong way), I've got ASS, which for me means painstakingly construct a message to make sure it's sociable and doesn't rub people the wrong way. When you downright delete a message rather than give me a chance to fix it within an acceptable timespan, you are flushing my hard work down your toilet - I think you can understand why i have trouble appreciating that. I'm not trying to berate you. I'm just voicing my misgivings here.

There's a bug with the text editor in the forums that drives me up the walls: When you change a URL, it changes the appearance text but keeps the old link. So when you tried to change the link, it didn't change the URL itself. I've fixed that now. Everything is good now,and I wish you luck with recruiting.
