Going through the wiki its not apparently clear if its the case. I'm trying to hide invisible tokens on the Dynamic light layer that simply emits light, I don't want players to be clicking on them/moving them, but I need the lights to be player specific. As far as I can tell I'm doing permission correctly, the tokens that are on the token layer emit light correctly but not the ones on the DL layer. They only emit light if I check that they emit light for All Players.
Light sources set to specific players work on the Token layer only. You'll need to check the box for all players to see the light for it to work on the map or dynamic lighting layer.

Any chance thats an upcoming feature? It would be really cool :O
I'm afraid I'm not one of the developers, so I don't know if that is planned or not. You can make a thread in the Suggestions forums, however.
