Characters as Tokens

Hi, I'm a new user to rolld20 and my group is, traditionally, IRC roleplayers but we want to use maps for my new campaign so we will be using rolld20. we are really excited bout it and aren't having too much dificulty with set up but as a software engineer myself I've ran into something I find a bit obnoxious. Basically why can't I set up a character in the journal as a token that I can simply drag and drop onto my page? It seems like a highly unintuitive process to me to have to copy and paste a token that I have associated with a character from page to page instead of being able to replicate it straight from journal tab to map. Is this a feature in the works currently? Cause at the moment the best work around I got is a 'garage' page of my tokens for NPCS and PC characters to refer back to and copy paste over. This seems a bit much compared to being able to make a token right off that bat that myself or my players can place on a map without having to copy paste around.
The reason this hasn't been implemented yet is because the character in the journal is somewhat of a recently added feature, they're constantly working on implementing more and more features all the time and can only do but so much with the man-power they have. I have no idea if this is in the works or not, but it has been talked about in multiple threads already. Also, it's pretty simple enough to have a blank page with all the updated token stats on it, I just keep the tokens copied and paste when needed, takes all of 10 seconds to switch to the token page, drag and highlight, ctrl+c, and back to the page that they need to be on ctrl+v. At least it takes me virtually no time at all. I think the only real issue is that as it stands when you click a journal item it brings up their sheet, it's easy enough to click and drag, but being able to only click and drag one at a time would actually be drastically slower than being able to copy all the players tokens at once and pasting them down. (I can however see it being faster if you only need 1 token). They might be able to add a right click feature with a selectable "Copy token" button, but they would still have to come up with a way to select multiple journal items at once in order to drag multiple tokens onto the page.
