I haven't played a face-to-face game for quite some time, if it weren't for Roll20 I currently wouldn't be able to game at all. However, when I did run in-person games, my "kit" would include the following: Rulebook s (core + any supplements I think I might need) Published module (if that's what I'm running), otherwise Campaign/Adventure notes Photocopies of Visual Aids (or any other handouts intended for distribution to the players) Dice Set DM Screen (2-part) + binder clip to keep the two halves together while it's set up DM's Adventure Log Sheet (to record the vitals and any other relevent information regarding the PCs, for quick reference during game play) Mechanical Pencil(s) Extra Eraser Water-soluable Marker Set Blank Graph Paper Blank Notepad Vinyl Battlemats (I have several, so if possible I will pre-draw specific important encounter scenes to save time during actual play) Required Miniature Figures (I pre-sort out from my collection what I know I will need, based on the adventure, and keep them in a travel case) Spray Bottle filled with water and either a sponge or roll of paper towels for cleaning off the battle mats Box of Dominoes (these are great for quickly building a wall, small building, simulating a small hill, or anything else where depicting elevation is important while using miniatures) That's all that immediately comes to mind, there might have been other stuff. I have to admit, while I do miss playing in a face-to-face game, the fact that Roll20 eliminates the need to haul around most of that stuff listed above is pretty nice.
