Is there a way to remove the critical damage from the addition damage from weapon attacks? Example being a Maul that does 2d6 bludgeoning + 2d6 fire. Trying to get it to where it rolls 4d6 + 2d6 instead of the 4d6 + 4d6 that it rolls.
That is how critical hits work in 5e. All dice are rolled twice, and all modifiers used once. If you need it to consistently roll 2d6, regardless of a critical, use the freetext field to include an extra dice roll: plus [[2d6]] fire damage You may need to enable display of the freetext field on the sheet's setting page if you have not already done so.
