[LFG] to learn ICONS Assembled, summer fun!

Hi all, New to Roll20, but have seen some occasional ICONS AE posts in the archives. I'm wondering if there's any people looking to learn the game together, and blow off steam with exciting supers. I've played 5e since it premiered and dabbled in some 3.5e, but really want to get my feet wet in either/both playing/dming an ICONS campaign. Schedule is somewhat flexible, but I'm a new parent so take that with a grain of salt. Any others interested in learning ICONS as a group and possibly rotating gm duties? Let me know and we can hash out details! Thanks!
Hi Ken, I've been interested in trying out ICONS AE for some time now.  The biggest hurdle I have at the moment is that my schedule is kind of volatile. My last campaign got taken out at the knees because my work schedule stopped being predictable. So while I'd be happy to play/run ICONS (or try my hand at running it, anyway), I couldn't promise a lengthy, ongoing campaign. But a short adventure or two might be doable. My time zone is EST (GMT -5)
No worries! I wasnt really thinking anything beyond one or two parters. I'm mostly looking for people interested in learning, workshopping, and screwing up together in a casual, low-stress setting. My timezone is also EST, but bc of the kids, the best times for me are typically any night after 8. I could probably do some weekend mornings here and there, but not indefinitely especially with summer trips etc happening. Ultimately i am looking to learn a new system and have a fun time doing it, and seeking like-minded people. What kinds of comics are you into?
Got a pm from another interested player. He said Friday Saturday afternoons are no good, but most evening are okay. That's 3 people so far.  Is there a good rule of thumb posters stick to before starting a campaign?

If it is going to be Friday evening (after 8pm) then mark me interested in learning the game. I'm down with workshopping on characters and the genre as I have wanted to learn the system for sometime.
Well, it looks like we have a sufficient number of people interested to at least get an adventure or two in. I'm really looking forward to trying out the game. Friday evenings should work for me too. "What kinds of comics are you into"? Well, while I've been collecting comics for decades now, I don't actually buy superhero titles. Never have. The comics I collect are along the lines of Savage Sword of Conan, Hellblazer, Criminal and Fatale (both by Ed Brubaker), For Queen and Country, Punisher Max, Velvet, Kill or be Killed, Nailbiter. That sort of thing. Overwhelmingly, crime or espionage titles with swords & sorcery/medieval fantasy books, with a smattering or street level vigilante titles to round things out.   That said, I understand that ICONS is very much a traditional supers game, and I'm cool with that. My interest is in getting some first hand experience with the game, so that if I want to run a more "street" level game later on, I'll have some idea of how the game functions in practice.
Alrighty. I'll launch the invites tonight. Does tomorrow night, Friday 6/15 at 8pm EST work for everyone?  introductions and  roll up some characters, roles questions etc seem like a pretty standard agenda? This is my first time setting up anything on roll20, so if there's any well-sessomed pros who have advice on how to set things up to run smoothly our better, your insight is appreciated. :)
Is there any way to change that to 9 EST? I'm GMing usually until 8:30 or 45
9pm est would work well for me. Anyone have issues with that? I'll get group invites out this afternoon, apologies for the delay.  my toddler was up and down all evening, i barely got dinner cleaned up.
9 PM works for me. I joined the game already. Thanks for setting it up Ken. I suggest we try using the default Roll20 voice interface so we don't have to faf around with other audio platforms. If we have issues, we can look into something else.
