(I apologize in advance for this behemoth of a post. You have been warned.) Instead of posting up asking to join up as a player, I thought I'd offer up a character for DMs campaigns. A small aside about the player: I'm available during the week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (EST) at any time; as well as Mondays and Sundays in the evening. I try to keep it mellow and have a good time, although my sense of humor would make you probably want to slap me sometimes. You can reply to this, PM me, or reach me on Discord at Frolic Emperor Light#7346. Anyway, onto the cool guy here.  Meet Artorias Pendragon, bastard child of King Uther Pendragon of the northern (or any region) kingdom of High-Guard (name can be changed). Born of a tryst between the king and a wandering elven mage of great power, Artorias was nevertheless accepted by his father and sent to train in the ways of the knight as Uther had as a child. Uther's wife, Natasha, despised Artorias for the favor he gained despite being an illegitimate child, and especially because of her hatred of elves. Uther held strong to his belief that Artorias would be the next ruler of High-Guard, however, and saw the boy's potential unleashed with each passing day. Not even when he was borne a daughter from Natasha, a delicate girl named Gwynevere, was the king's convictions about his son shifted. All great things must end, though. Uther was taken with sickness and died of it shortly after Artorias was knighted by his father before the kingdom in a grand display. Natasha, seeking to keep a pure human on the throne, took over as acting Queen before Artorias could gather enough support to make his ascent to the throne official. She sent him out into the world on a false mission to "better yourself through the sight of foreign lands and clashes of steel and wit". Artorias, believing that his "mother" meant every word left proudly, the people of High-Guard cheering him as he went.  Natasha, in getting rid of Uther's heir-apparent, seeks to hopefully gather support for Gwynevere to take the throne as Queen or to marry her to someone who can gather that support for himself.  Artorias Pendragon is a Half-Elf Paladin, Lawful Good Alignment, and has no official religious barring. He instead draws his holy powers from his belief in a creed that he was taught by his master as a boy, and that he has not forgotten since: A Knight is sworn to valor. His heart knows only virtue. His blade defends the helpless. His might uplifts the downtrodden. His words tell no lies.  His wrath undoes the wicked. From here, Artorias is free to become a lot of different people. Depending on who he meets, fights, defeats, is defeated by, etc. he can change in a variety of ways. That's up for any DMs who would want to welcome this noble young knight into the ranks of their adventuring party to decide.
