In the multiverse, Eberron is a world apart, defined by an abundance of magic leading to a feel sometimes more akin to the industrial revolution than the typical medieval fantasy. The great city of Sharn, coterminous with the Azure Sky (the elemental plane of air), is a vertical metropolis known as the City of Towers, and plays host to Morgrave University. As an institution of higher learning, Morgrave is far from the most respected of its kind in Khorvaire, but it is known as a leader in archaeological and anthropological studies (though many question the ethics of the Universities methodology). As a student at Morgave, you've toiled to earn a degree that will help you find a career in the future, or simply return home more capable of helping your family or people. Maybe its been a time of hard partying and blowoff classes for you, or perhaps you've been the studious sort, always chasing the highest marks, but however you've spent the years of your higher education, ,they're coming to an end, but you've got a shot at one last hurrah. One of your favorite Professors, a man known by many as a crackpot but to you, an instructor who brought ancient cultures to life before your very eyes, always takes a group of his favored students on an expedition at the close of each school year, and you're pretty sure you've made the cut. Since he plans to retire this year, he's keeping the destination a secret, but its sure to be the most exciting expedition he's ever planned, and you've heard wild stories about some of his past travels.
