Greetings, everyone! After a long consideration I have decided to advertise my GMing skills for sale. I hope I will earn your attention with my admittedly niche offer. About Myself I have ran a broad range games for just shy of 20 years. Quite a while, looking back. I began with AD&D and have done campaigns in every edition since. I have also run many other systems such as both old and new World of Darkness, Apocalypse World & spin-offs, and Shadowrun to name the more commonly known. If I have not run a system there is a good chance I have read it. Reading, learning about, and playing a wide array of RPGs is one of my drives. I love role-playing games and the people with the creativity to engage in them. But even more so I enjoy them when my players enjoy themselves. Game Proposal The game I am offering to run for paying players is a rare experience. Ryuutama is a light-hearted, charming, and easy to learn game about travelling, discovery, and the unfolding narratives that arise from player choice. For those that do not know what Ryuutama is This Link to the official website can explain how Ryuutama is unique among role-playing games. I will be able to provide the rules for players who are signed on for my game and can teach it to new players or old. A hexcrawl is a style of game where the players are given a world premade by the GM, a nudge to help them get started, and then freedom to choose their own direction. Ryuutama fits the style extremely well. I have made a map of over 100 locations for the players to explore and interact with. But no fixed stories as they will be emergent based on the choices players make. The sort of freedom that role-playing games were made for. My GMing style is like my writing: concise. I will not purposely waste your time or require reading a novel of words about a room's details. My games run at brisk paces, be it role-playing in character or challenges when dice are thrown. I enjoy improvisation more than set piece events. so while my written world has many locations they will always be dependent on the player's choice. Game sessions will be four hours long on a weekly schedule. Currently I will be offering Sundays with an open schedule. Weekdays I will be available Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)/ 4:00 PM Pacific (PST) and later for evening sessions. I am looking for 4 or 5 players for the campaign. I will likely have a maximum of two campaigns running at a time. Given the nature of the system, a campaign will likely be 12 or so sessions in length. Three months of weekly sessions barring interruptions. I am able to run voice (OOC) + text games (IC), or text only games at the group's request. I can create a discord channel for the game to have discussions between sessions. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Payments will be handled through Paypal preferably. I will require payment for a given session at least 12 hours prior to the session, mainly so I can confirm exactly who will be playing that day. The cost may seem slightly higher than other paid GMs but with many years of GMing and over five years of using Roll20 I can guarantee a great experience for my players.
