New to D&D and interested in playing.

I and basically completely new to D&D or the other types of games. If possible I would like to play like D&D 3.5 or 4 considering I found the books online and if possible for me to get mentored or play with a group to experience it first hand. I am 18 years old have Skype and am available at 8:30 pm till 1:00 am every night.

Hey everyone. Saw this thread so I figured I'd pop in. I'm Jarrod, nice to meet all of you! I think it's great that everyone is excited in jumping into the world of D&D. I'd be happy to run a beginner player campaign for some people (and it looks like there are 5 here already, which is a good number for a group.) If it's possible to nail down a specific time that everyone is available (often the most difficult part) I can try to put a few things together. Anyone interested?

If the group needs any more players I'll join up. I'm available in the evenings during the week and completely open for the weekend.

Jarrod can you make room for one more? I am fairly new to DND, having only played in one campaign, and would be very happy to partake in a beginner game.

I'd love to host a game for new players. I don't like to exclude people if I can avoid it, although I usually keep my games at a maximum of 6 players (it gets difficult to run beyond that.). Generally, I prefer to do audio via skype as it frees up bandwidth and processor power for Roll20. I'm in Eastern timezone (GMT-5), and generally I would be able to play from 3pm-8pm Monday-Friday. If this works for anyone feel free to let me know and we'll start bringing together a group, discussing what type of game everyone would like to play, and discuss character creation. Once we have that down, I can start planning for the story.

This works perfectly for me - i am pretty much free at the same times. Are we playing 4e or 3.5? My strong preference is 3.5, but i am not adverse to the alternative

at the moment we are looking at 4e since it is a bit easier to pick up for newer players. Are you still interested?

Hey that sounds great Jarrod, I am free during any of those times mon-fri and would love to start ASAP! I can Skype, have headset, and a bit of experience playing DnD. Is there anything I should read up on now? Also curious if you like to pre-generate characters or if we get too. I personally like developing my own character.
