Hullo! I'm Malin aka the one with a thousand nicknames, and I'm looking for about 3-4 players for an upcoming campaign about - like the title says - building and ruling a kingdom. It will be text-based, and neither the time and date is set yet as I'm very fluid. The only day that is a no-go is Sunday. There is currently one set player, and one maybe. I am looking for a group of five in total, seeing any more would feel difficult to fit into an equal spotlight. As the title says, it's going to be text-based. It'll give more room for me to handle individual scenes, and makes recording and remembering information easier for everyone. Obviously, with that comes an expectation of proper grammar, spelling, and all that. I don't really care if you're sloppy out of game - I certainly am - but during the session I want it to be proper English. The system is still TBD, seeing the campaign details are still being worked out. My plan is to cement the basics, then find a good system, and slap lore onto it. I want the players to have an equal say in what will and won't be a part of the campaign, hence I want some interested people before I sit down and starting scraping letters into the stone. So what is there so far? Well, it says kingdom but depending on what the group wants it could be a guild, an order, a social movement, or maybe a noble family? The set player is going to play a religious figure, and other suggestions for roles from me would be the treasurer, the commander, the planner, the spymaster, the advisor etc. The PCs are going to be the people in charge, so if you're not up for that, this is not for you. The main ruler - the "king" - is probably going to be an NPC unless someone can convince me they can handle the responsibility without misusing it. It's leaning towards an historical campaign with low to medium fantasy, but the exact nuances depends on the players and system. This campaign is going to be about social interactions aka roleplaying. If you like combat, optimising your stats,v being able to pick and choose what quests to take, and all that, then this is not for you. There will of course be room to decide how to solve a problem/quest, but you will need to solve it. If you have a pre-existing character that you think would fit the campaign, I urge you to not bring it as you'll probably have to rework it anyways to fit the system and the lore. Some basic rules that I'm only stating so no one can say they didn't know are: - No showing up drunk, high, or otherwise intoxicated - No missing a session without letting me know and having a good reason - No leaving the session without letting me know why and if/when you'll be back - Show respect to your fellow players and me - Respect that my word is law at the end - I will take your thoughts and opinions in consideration, but in the this is not a democracy - Communicate with me about your plans, as keeping secrets will only result in you not getting to do the thing anyways - Some basic fucking common sense If this sounds like something you would enjoy, or if you have any questions, post here, shoot me a PM, or even better - contact me directly on discord (nezumi#7900). For those who like who like forms, here is one. Name: What days work for you?: Basic(!!!) character idea: Anything you want to see in the campaign i.e. assassins, exploring ruins, manoeuvering a foregein court?: Anything you absolutely don't want to see in the campaign?:
