[LFP] 5e D&D Tuesday 6:00 Eastern

I am currently taking applications for a ongoing campaign that has had a regular schedule for about a year and a half. Schedule: Tuesdays 6p.m. Eastern time. We just started a new campaign a couple months ago, and unfortunately lost one of our players to RL issues. The game takes place in my homebrew setting, and is heavily story and character driven. Combats can be very challenging as well.  Character creation can sometimes take up to two weeks of collaboration between myself and the player. I ask for a lot of background detail which is a lot more than most people are used to giving, but I am with you to help build it up. Please ask general questions here, Direct Msg for anything else. I am not looking for character pitches. I want to know about you first. I have high expectations of myself and of the players around me. The players and I reserve time out of every week to make this game happen. We are looking for someone to take it as seriously as we do.
This campaign and has been really thrilling for me as a player, largely due to Cross' propensity for compelling storytelling. The world Cross has built is painted so vividly, and although (and because?)  it is still quite foreign to my character, and to me as a player, i look forward to exploring more of it every week, simply because it's just so wondrous.  It's full of danger and difficulty, as well as moral dilemma and conflict.  It's not an EASY place to be, but making it through another day is so much more rewarding that way.   As a player in this campaign, i hope the right person will embrace the RP aspect, want to be a part of a party that is greater than the sum of its parts.  Someone who wants to add to the synergy.  Someone who has the same kind of enthusiasm for this game.   Mira, Rogue
HI there My name is Troy, and I have been playing D&D for around 20 years now. In a nutshell.....I have a wife and 2 kids, a dog, cat, and a full time job. I live on the west coast of the united states, PDT time zone. Other than that, I currently run two long running campaigns on roll20, TftYP, and ToA. I am familiar with all aspects of roll20 and Discord so there won't be any hiccups with functionality. I added a brief description of the character I would like to play in your game but its not set in stone, and can be changed if it steps on another characters' gimmick. I have a bunch of characters in mind, and was just wanting to play a front line squishing character for fun.( squishy but very high AC ) Character Name: Tarn Shadowstaff Race: High Elf Class: Wizard Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Backstory:(optional we can fill it in game): Sage, out in the world gaining experience and memories to relish when his revelry takes him in the end. Type of campaign you would want:(meaning more battles or more roleplaying) Looking for great combat situations to show off the characters prowess. And awesome RP situations to further the story and progress the adventure giving the players objectives to pursue.     Bonus Info: Going to use the Sword Coast Adventures Guide to use the Bladsinger Archetype for elves. And some of the spells ( cantrips ) listed in that book too. Mainly Sword Burst, Green-Flame Blade, and Booming Blade.
i'm a total noob at playing dnd and would like to try and experience with the game also i want to use the hombres character i made so can you accept new players
Thanks for the replies. We have found our player. No longer seeking applicants.
