More nostalgia.

For which you chose, in fact, the perfect freeway area. Much of the original show was filmed in and around that area, esp. after the Sylmar Quake led to a bunch of bridges / interchanges having to be replaced, even as freeway stretches already laid down were sitting idle.

(My favorite passtime with "CHiPs" was watching for the same car to show up in multiple scenes of an episode -- "Look, there's that green VW again!")

But I digress ...

O HAI new Roll20 forum edit box! ... super and subscript, erase formatting, tables, horizontal rules. Nice.

UPDATE: Oh, and expandable during editing! NICE!

UPDATE 2: Discussion (not much) here. I hadn't realized underlining is new.

Also, there appears to now be automatic space inserted after paragraphs, though that's not true in old posts. That will be handy.

UPDATE 3: Click-to-expand on uploaded images does not seem to be working. Fortunately I have good eyesight to parse the Leo-Internet comix.

It might amuse Alycia to flirt with Harry, if only for his reaction. Once she's got some other things checked off her to-do list, that is.

June 28 (6 years ago)

Heh.

As always, the canonicity, etc. etc.

June 28 (6 years ago)

Argh. Because Alycia actually would do that. Or want to do that. Or I'd want her to do that.

Maybe there's a happy medium after all..?

The happy medium is actually the woman whose psychic business was revitalized after she befriended Charlotte. It's a good trade: coffee money for more reliable info on the afterlife.

I've stickied this thread, as it seems to have become popular over a long period of time and deserves to be prominently stuck.

"Typical extravagant display of waste and flash. Appropriately and expectedly attractive from an emotionally priming aesthetic, but just the sort of nationalistic, exceptionalistic, militaristic dick-waving that one would expect from the American Empire."

("Though one can certainly appreciate the philosophical basis of Enlightenment thinking for inspiration around autonomous freedom beyond the bounds of simple American jingoism.")

Meta-shenanigans which started in this thread. What if the Menagerie was its own show?

A: So many calories.

S: Not a problem.

A: So much processed flour and refined sugar.

Somehow, I don't think babysitting is Alycia's best choice..

On that note! Plus a surprisingly viable option.

Part 9:

So we ended on a punchline, kind of, which technically makes this still a comic. And not a date.

As always, the canonicity, etc. etc., although if people like this, it could stand. There's certainly enough here to raise Alycia's blood pressure and give her something to "discuss" with Jason - or Summer.

July 14 (6 years ago)

Well as someone with TWO interests here, I'm perfectly fine with considering it Canon. I can see Jason being a little more frazzled about his new world, and a bit more graas-was-vreener wistful about the old, but that's fine tuning at most. Great stuff, Bill, as always.

I thought about that. I erred on the side of him remembering she was very enthusiastic about this outcome for him, and putting on a brave and positive front to see that smile again.

Glad you liked it. :)
