Looking for reliable investigative team to aid in a world spanning expedition! Even for those of you who might not be familiar with the specifics, Masks of Nyarlathotep is a legendary campaign made by Chaosium that has stood the test of time for over 30 years. I've run it three times myself, and I'm looking for expanding it to a fourth. So I need a team of 4-5 investigators that are willing to meet consistently biweekly on an extremely deadly adventure that spans 6 continents (adventuring in Peru, America, England, Egypt, Kenya, China and Australia). Investigators are charged with investigating murders, navigating a maze of deadly cults, insanity shattering times, and artifacts beyond human understanding. As it is in the 1920s it does contain elements of racism and sexism as a part of the campaign (though not centric obviously). Those elements will remain in the background so long as none of the players are offended. Any character choices made are fine unless they are offensive to other players (not their characters). The campaign is estimated to last a year or more. You will die at some point. Player death will be handled by your character dying miserably, then you will take control of a named NPC who will be your character until a new one “arrives”. I'm looking for people who are interested in heavy roleplay with minimal out of character talk, and no meta gaming. Prospective players should be good at working as a team. Colorful characters are a bonus! But the overall tone will be pretty serious (of course no one is perfect). The game will be open to new players AS WELL AS people who may have played Masks before so long as you can keep from meta gaming. The new edition has lots of new layers that can make it a new and fresh experience even if you've already played through. If you're new to Masks or the hobby in general you're also welcome and I have pre generated characters available for those who would prefer. I'm from the Eastern Time zone so we will usually begin around 8pm est. Undecided on the day, which will probably be up for negotiation.
