[LF1M][dnd 5e][Paid] Campaign Starting Friday night (A Storm's Hymn)

Storyline As the Winter Rain Sung… Lights in the seaside town of Lacliel slowly began fade. Torches and town lanterns were extinguished as the inhabitants prepared to rest through the tempestuous night. Lacliel was a pleasant enough town. It was one of the many villages that dotted the landscape around the massive port city of Beachwood Retreat. Many mercenary guilds and less than well off merchants made their livings out of these small cities often taking contracts from the wealthy merchant lords of the Ruby Alliance that resided in Beachwood Retreat. Lacliel was a beautiful seaside suburb of sorts with nearly a dozen different mercenary guilds calling the town home. Bells chimed across the city. The alarming bells rang from the Steel Cabal’s guild tower. The Cabal were a group of bounty hunters that helped keep order in the lawless city. Lacliel, as pleasant as it was, still suffered from the same problems that plagued every city in the Clutch. A lack of a unified government in the region meant every city was susceptible to bandits and pirate raids. Spies from Galena Mave constantly moved through the region stealing treasures from adventurers who were brave enough to journey into the ruins that littered the region. Any mercenaries that were strong enough to claim a stretch of territory were normally forced to yield to the clashing political giants in the region. However, the Cabal’s bells meant one thing: there was a bounty on the loose. They were hunting someone valuable who didn’t belong in Lacliel. Most guilds nodded along to the Cabal’s requests, not wanting to get on the bad side of the bounty of hunters. Every business and guild hall closed and lock their doors. But there was one building with torches still alight. A group of mercenaries, rumored to often help a lucky few no matter the situation. The door of the Silver Tree’s guild house flew open. Winter winds swept into the hearth room as a rain soaked woman in a hooded dark blue cloak stood in the doorway. She looked at each member of the Silver Tree with silent but serious pleading eyes. The bounty bells rang in the distance echoing over the city. She needed to hide someplace quick, otherwise a few individuals were about to get significantly heavier pockets if they subdued her to turn her over to the Cabal. This is where their story begins… Campaign Introduction Overview I will be running a paid campaign every Friday night based in a homebrewed campaign setting. We currently have 5 players with one final slot available. Our first game will be at 7pm CST on 7/6/18 Every session will likely be recorded and uploaded to the internet, so if that concerns you let me know ahead of time. About the DM Howdy doodles!! I have been DM'ing for nearly a decade. I am a very story focused and RP heavy dungeon master. With a background in stand up comedy and writing Epic Fantasy fiction I bring a unique flavor of off-centered story telling to the table. My favorite type of games to run are political thrillers, my general philosophy: the scariest thing is not the monster lurking in the cave, but the scariest thing is what the unsuspecting person next to you is willing to do. Why Paid? This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 per session paid via paypal or $30 per month paid via patreon. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Friday night is prime time for entertainment. Just as some people decide to go to a movie theater on a Friday night, dnd can provide the same entertainment, but 10,000 times more engaging. When you have a proper DM who pours their soul into a campaign and works tirelessly to tell an expanding story with the players, the experience is nearly indescribable. Paying a DM allows them more financial flexibility in their life so that they can devote more time to the game they are running to ensure it is of a high quality and that the story and fun meets and exceeds player expectations. What Can you expect? Example from a game I have ran Consistency and high quality story telling. I believe when you pay for a service, players become more invested in attending the sessions and being engaged and actively participating in roleplay at the table. I see so many good free campaigns fizzle out because of lack of commitment from a few players and that ruins the experience for other players in the campaign. I have attached a link to a previous game I have ran so you can see a smidget of my DM'ing style.
