Hey there, I´m Michael, a 24 year old student from Germany. After watching DnD games online for quite a while now, I´m really looking forward to actually joining a group and playing myself now. I would say that I have a pretty solid understanding of the rules in theory (worked through the PHB a couple of times and created some characters) but I haven´t been able to actually apply it yet, so I guess I might take a second longer and have to ask one or two questions in the beginning. If possible, I would like to join a group for a longer campaign starting lvl 1 so I can experience the full ride. Ideally, the campaign should be more focused on RP combined with some meaningful combat encounters and not just one long dungeon crawler. Character wise I would for example like to play an old dwarven fighter who has been a personal guard for most of his life, but now has to look for a new reason to keep going after loosing his lord in a moment of his own weakness. Or a paladin who discovered some dark secrets in his clan and is now on the run, hunted by his father´s assasins. I am also very open to creating new charactes based on the respective setting and working with the GM to make the backstory interesting for the other players and fitting in with the campaign´s story.
