Players in the Game

Is it possible to "lock" a game so that only the GM can enter it but still have the players in the list of people who can play just have it so they can't enter when locked up?

No.  What GMs typically do is have a Player Page where the Player ribbon is placed between sessions while mapmaking happens on other pages.  Testing macros can happen with /talktomyself turned on, or if it is API you are testing you can ask the players to leave the table and then you can clear the Chat Archive (note: not clearing your current Chat Log ) afterwards.

Yeah I have been doing the ribbon thing. Also I only have been testing macros when alone and regularly clear the chat log but it's good to know I can test them with players around. The only reason I asked about this was because when you move the player ribbon to a page it plays the selected (if any) music for that page. I make a LOT of use of different tracks and I wanted to be able to test switching back and forth between the page's set song and any song I want to play briefly because of  a combat encounter / trap / treasure etc. I suppose I'll just have to manually turn on the pages music each time I want to test this.I only have to play it manually once since after playing the new song I always switch to the pages default track with an API command. It's not that much of a hassle.

You could use an API script to separately move all single players to the start page (API script so you can do this while they are offline), then you can move the ribbon freely.

I have cloned (copied) a game and worked in the cloned version then transmogrifiied the stuff I did. If it could not be moved that way, I would use the character vault or just a cut/paste the info. This allows me to have a copy of the active game incase anything happened.

I've actually been preparing so far ahead that the players don't even have access to my "in-progress" games. My game is pretty big and I have to split it up into several parts once one gets big enough. For example they just finished Part 1 after 8 sessions 4 hours each and I'm currently working on Part 5. If I can keep up this pace they'll never see what I'm working on. I just have a bad habit of going to earlier "Parts" that they may have already been invited to and adding/changing a ton of stuff. (I also need to adapt to what the players do and not just rail-road them.)

I have never gone that big but it is cool to hear about stuff like that.
