Hey Scott, I need some clarifications: What drop-downs are you referring to? All of them? By "players," do you mean characters in-game or player out of game? Can I get a few of the names of the new players I'm supposed to be seeing and the old players I'm not?

dont worry about it now. I just made a copy of the campaign and had everyone join that one.

I had this issue as well a couple days ago. I was trying to give our new player access to his character sheet but he wasn't in the dropdown menu. I ended up being able to get him by searching his name, but he wasn't in the original list of players, and we only had five players, six including him.
