Initiative tracker Question

So I have pre-made NPC characters for the different D&D creatures that I simple drag and drop as token. I have them named and when I add them to the initiative tracker all of the players can see what they are. For example: I describe a Guard Drake to the characters as a lizard larger than a dog, but smaller than a horse. The players are interested and may want to use nature checks to see if their character knows what this is. But, when I add it to the initiative tracker, they know exactly what it is. My question; What is the best way around this? Does anyone have experience?

Players should not be able to see the name unless you have it set for them to see it. Make sure on the advanced tab that under player permissions the "see" box for name is not checkmarked.
Oh, can the players not see the initiative tracker?

They can see it if the GM has it open but they will not necessarily see the names belonging to creatures in it. In order for them to see those names you have to enable them as I explained above. What the GM sees is not necessarily what the players will see. Any time you want to see things from a player view I suggest opening a second tab to your game in your browser and switching to player mode. Note: You, as the GM, should not assign yourself control over NPCs etc unless you want control of them while you are in player mode. Sometimes a GM assigns himself things and then when he switches to player mode wonders why he can see all the monsters that should be hidden by Dynamic Lighting or something.

If you set the "See" checkbox next to Name under Player Permission, the players can see the name in the Initiative Tracker. If you also set "Show Nameplate" they also see the name under the token. If you don't select "See" then your players won't see the name anywhere, but you will. they will only see the Token image Also: If you have creatures on the GM layer added to the Initiative, the players will not see those either until the time that you move them to the token layer.
