Can't add some creatures from my compendium

I have bought the MM, Volo's Guide, and Mordekainen's, and for some reason, in one of my campaigns I can't add some creatures. For an example, when I tried to add an adult black dragon, it opens up the sheet as a normal empty character sheet, and the token is just normal size, has no hp or anything, and then I have to go into another campaign, add it there, and then use the transmogrifier to copy it over, which is an absolute pain to deal with. Please help. :)
This is what happens.
I also get the same thing. I purchased MM and just tried dragging a basic Giant Rat token to the board and it is blank with not stats that I now have to fill in. I wouldn't normally be bothered by one but I am trying to fill in a dungeon and it's happening quite a bit. I.e, I just tried a Grick which worked but then did a Grick Alpha which was empty like the example above. Help?
It's especially annoying because this is something we spent money on. Also another thing is that some spellcaster npcs have random sneak attack modifiers and bless modifiers from somewhere... Also um, adding in the spells yourself is basically useless, because half of the time it simply doesn't work at all and you have to spend time fixing it, which just doesn't work when you're trying to use a drow mage in combat, but has to sit and fix it while your players are waiting for you. So please, someone help us

Hi folks, There is a bug that some people are experiencing with importing monsters. Fortunately, the workaround is pretty straightforward for the time being. Some people are experiencing a lag when dropping a creature from a compendium that causes the sheet to be created, but not in time to receive the data (as I  understand it). The workaround is to drop the character twice, once to the tabletop to create the sheet, and then drop it a second time by dragging the compendium entry onto the open sheet. You may have to switch it to NPC first, I'm not certain on that point—I don't use the 5e OGL sheet. I'm not certain about the spells not importing. I know that the full spell text is not included on the monsters due to performance reasons, but I'm not familiar enough with the sheet to know what the problems you are experiencing in manually placing them are caused by.
