Charactermancer - New DM and Players need help.

Hi, I have just about managed to find the Charactermancer as a DM but when I log in as a player I cant find the option to use it.  How can my players create their ingame character via Charactermancer? Thanks in advance, Matt

Hi Matthew, as DM you'll need to create and assign journal entries for your players to use. They'll then be faced with the Charactermancer :) Check out the wiki for more details on how to manage journal entries.
The is for the help. One more quickie. To get the backgrounds etc that are in the players Handbook do I have to buy the version on roll20 to access it?

That is correct, purchasing the Roll20 version of the official content unlocks that information in the compendium which can be shared with your players and used in the VTT. Currently only the PHB is Charactermancer enabled although the rest of the source material should hopefully be available in the future :)
That really helped, thanks. My next question is since starting the campaign (yawning portal). When ever I roll attacks from the NPC sheets it always makes two rolls, is this normal or can I set it to only make the one attack roll?

It is rolling dis/advantage by default, in the case of not needing either you can just take the result of the first roll and ignore the second. If you would really prefer to not see that at all there is an option to turn off default advantage rolls (or even set them to query it for you...) in the sheet settings found under 'game settings'. To apply this to all existing sheets in the game you'll need to head to the bottom of the settings tab in the VTT and 'apply default settings'. Any new sheets setup after the change has been made (and the VTT relaunched) will already have your defaults applied for you. (I'd have added pictures to this to help but the forum decided not to let me today...)
thanks. I thought as much and dont personally think its an issue but some of my players dont like it.

Well the good news then is that you can also toggle the roll type on an individual sheet basis in the sheets settings :)
