[Interest Check] [5e] [CST] [Hyrule campaign setting]

Location: Breath of the Wild's Hyrule Timeline: I'm not 100% sure on this but probably after the events of a link to the past Date: Probably Saturday afternoon/evening, 4+ hour session Restricted to home-brewed Zelda races Restrictions to some spells and abilities Would be taking bits and pieces from the different games so it wont be 100% accurate to Zelda lore Between towns would focus on wilderness/survival (very much like BoTW) Towns and dungeons would be very standard to the game Minimal knowledge of the zelda series required New players welcome If there is enough interest the game would probably start in 3-4 weeks
This is a fantastic idea and I want in! I am new to D&D but not to Zelda, this would be the perfect "gateway drug" I would like to do a zora wizard but I'm flexible. Thank you.
I'll hang my hat on that "Probably" as I'd be interested (provided there's not a BotW-style weapon durability system -.-) but almost assuredly couldn't do Saturdays. As a side-note, would there be any class restrictions?
I might also be interested in this. I'm CST as well - and my schedule is flexible. I've not played 5th edition D&D or used Roll D20, but have gamed enough to probably learn fast!
@Tiina I'll keep you updated if there is enough interest @Pennate No I think all classes make sense in a Hyrule setting. Might have to double check things outside the PHB @Thursday Roll20 is pretty easy once you get the hang of it
I'd be very interested in this and the day works great for me. I'm EST but pretty flexible with time. Don't have much experience with BotW but grew up with the older LoZ so this would be a nice nostalgia trip lol
@Hare951 No experience with BotW necessary. Just going to be using it for making the world map.
Yeah, this really sounds fun! Would a Sheikah character be fair game?
https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Hyrule_(5e_Campaign_Setting) Ive played a campaign with this and it worked brilantly. It has lore friendly classes has the races has a systems that make it make more sense in a hyrule setting and has a system for stuff like boss weak points along with stat sheets for a ton of zelda monsters.

I am incredibly interested in this! I do, however, have 2 sessions on Saturday already! D: Keep me in mind if you ever want to run something like this another time. :D It hurts to have seen this and not be able to play. XD EDIT: I might actually be able to play depending on when the sessions start.

Name/What you'd like to be called: Weskler Von Kruger Age: Undefined Roll20 experience: New Discord: Weskler#9011 D&D/RPG experience: Beginner to Medium, used to play years ago but looking at critical role revived the need to play, lot's of RPGs games played on steam, like to act. Gender: Male Sexuality: Indifferent Characteristic: He can be friendly at times when he is with friends or in a party/celebration atmosphere but most of the time he likes to keep quiet and analyze people. He chooses to go the more logical path rather than running head first in to battle. Background: Criminal Alignment: Lawful Evil Character Concept:: Rogue, or willing to learn any other role to fit the campaing, the character is shady, dark, mysterious, brutally honest, quite, intimidating. As for the back story I have already build one but is too long also like the party to discover it so most of the details are shared only with the DM, would be better to talk about it. Basically the normal family mom/dad, usual jobs, one day the father left the family without warning, some time later the mom was murdered leaving a teenager alone in the world to survive forcing him to become a thief (rogue), after some years past he decided to find out why his mother was murdered and what happened to his dad based on some tips and clues that were left. Hardcore fan of Zelda, haven't played BotW and Skyward because don't have a nintendo yet T,T. count me in 100%
I'm not really accepting player applications at this time. But when I do I will keep you in mind @Wesklet
So, is this still a thing or what?
Unfortunately not, Didn't get a whole lot of interested so I joined a game instead.
