you could always just manually add in the spell yourself. but yeah, if you want it in the refrence then you need to buy a set that includes it

Also, at least as of now, items in the adventure modules aren't added to the compendium - they are handouts inside the module. So even if you purchase the module with Ice Knife, it isn't going to be a drag and drop spell to add to your sheet.
