Deathwatch: The Threats Within and the Horror Without (Looking for 1 new player , Devastator, Techmarine or Apothecary

"Within the Jericho Reach there are threats beyond imagining. Vile xenos hordes, bands of cackling daemons and heretics spreading lies of false gods and powers. To them, humanity is but another meal of their cosmic slaughter" -Inquisitor Quist during talks of the Orpheus Salient to the Tower of Brass "Deathwatch: The Threats Within and the Horror Without" is a Deathwatch 40kRPG campaign set primarily in the Orpheus Salient of the Jericho reach. You play as a member of Kill Team Gladius. Assigned to the Hallowed Sword, under the command of Watch Captain Marius Avincus of the Ultramarines, you are tasked with missions integral to countering the threat of Hive Fleet Dagon. From assassinations to escort missions, from bolstering the lines to eradicating Genestealer infestations, Kill Team Gladius will be put to it's limits against the foul forces of the great Devouring Swarm. Games every Wednesday at 7pm BST This Campaign has the following features: -Useage of every supplement book in the line (if you don't have them PURCHASED COPIES [[This GM and his Players do not condone piracy in any shape or form]] can be provided) -A focus on teamwork and Roleplay between squad members -Fleshed out areas such as the Hallowed Sword, Watch Fortress Erioch and countless planets in the Jericho reach -A focus on Honour and renown, with every achievement by the kill team / it's members being marked down for potential to gain Honours such as the Imperial Laurel and the Iron Halo -A well established group of roleplayers who enjoy both the setting and high tier Roleplay. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements: Must be 18+ Must speak english fluently Must have a mic Must know the 40k lore well Must enjoy Roleplay over Ruleplay. Name: Dane Age: 24 Nationality: Can you speak English?: Yes What is your experience with 40k?: Been around all my life almost besides role play games I enjoy playing table top when I can but mostly in it for modeling and painting. What is your experience with Deathwatch RPG?:  Played all the other systems except black crusade and as for deathwatch had one bad game where the dm fumbled it. Pitch your character in a bio below: Well I'm fine playing the roles mentioned might go for apothecary though as for chapter I would have to know what the others have but ill just list off my first picks. Blood Angel,Dark Angel,Imperial Fist,Blackshield,White Scar, or a successor chapter just using the rules for the chapters available. So I would like more info but ill give a base idea using a Blackshield. Arkar a new recruit to Deathwatch he has sworn the sacred oaths that bind him to his ever lasting watch. His armor bathed in black washing away his past all its honors and all its tie only thing remaining is his guilt and quest for redemption. He has servers as an Apothecary easing the suffering of his fellow marines while also learning the unholy secrets in the flesh of their foes. He is young by Adeptus Astartes standards but has a demeanor of someone more weathered by time. Most also assume he has taken a vow of silence due to how little he speaks but when he does it reveals he is well versed in many subjects and a warrior of knowledge.

What is your experience with Deathwatch RPG?: never done one, but looking for one. Pitch your character in a bio below: born on haze, a planet with thick clouds, covering most of the planet, causing constant low temperatures, as well as somewhat lower light levels. when thorkell was only 10 years old, his parents where killed by one of the carnivorous species, native to his planet. his father had been the chief of his village, but had fallen i'll, was too sick to defeat the beast. heeding his fathers orders to flee, he ran as fast as he could, hiding behind a cluster of large rocks, a hundred meters or so away from the wolf. as he watched his father fight the large wolf, it looked like his father would win, until he suddenly was assaulted by a grievous cough. seeing it's chance, the wolf leapt at him, and broke his neck, between it's big powerful jaws. seeing his father's body twitch and go limp, he grabbing a sharp rock, he ran towards the large wolf, his arm raised, holding the sharp rock, and screaming his lungs out! as he neared the wolf, it leapt at him, it's mouth wide open, and stained with his father's blood. thorkell instinctively slid under the large wolf, cutting it along the belly! the wolf yipped in surprise and pain, although due to the thick fur and hide of the beast, a sharp rock was unable to do more than make a small surface cut. as they both landed, both on all fore, the wolf ran towards thorkell. closing the small distance, of a few meters in a few seconds, thorkell had almost no time to react, but he managed to jump away, but the wolf continued to press the attack, leaving thorkell with no time to get ready, or put up a fighting stance. he couldn't keep this up for ever, and each time, the wolf got a little closer to grabbing his foot in it's large maw! suddenly, he heard a voice, his mothers voice, shouting at the wolf, drawing it's attention away from thorkell. as the wolf was running towards the new, and larger prey, thorkell managed to get up, sore and bruised, and ran after the wolf. the wolf, hearing the footsteps behind it, swung it's large, powerful tail at him, knocking him away, and causing him to hit his head against a rock, and passing out. he was awaken by his mothers horrible piercing scream, as the wolf broke her back, while she was inside it's large mouth. watching his mother get brutally murdered as well, something broke inside thorkell, and awakened something else. he ran up behind it, narrowly avoiding it's claw swinging at him, and jumping up onto it's snout, and jumped up from it's head, and plunged his stone into the back of the wolf! howling in pain, the wolf tried desperately to shake him of, with his mother still hanging limp from it's mouth. seeing this, gave him the fury to cling onto the wolf, by the fur on it's back, and stab the wolf repeatedly in the back, screaming! after about 40 stabs, many in the same place, the wolf collapsed from pain, while thorkell continued to hack away for 10 minutes, breaking the wolfs spine, and cutting of it's head, as retribution for breaking his mother and father's spine and neck, respectively! thorkell collapsed from exhaustion shortly after, and was found by the other inhabitants of the village, covered in blood, cuts and bruises. he was brought to the village doctor, who washed and healed him. after three days and three nights, thorkell woke up, surprising everybody, as they had begun to think he had fallen into a coma, or had some unknown ailment, preventing him from waking up. when they asked him what had happened, he couldn't remember anything after the point where he was knocked unconscious, but soon he could remember his mother scream, but not what happened after. with a monotone voice, and a hint of sadness and hope, he said "my mother is dead as well, isn't she?" no one wanted to be the one who told him, so the doctor eventually had to. hearing this, thorkell didn't seem too sad, but he spent all his time away from people, using violence and training, to vent his anger and sorrow. so, when the black ship arrived, one year later, he was in MUCH better shape, than ANY of the other kids of his age, in the tribe! even kids up to 14 was in lesser physical shape than thorkell! not knowing who these people where, or who this emperor was, thorkell was reluctant to go, understandably. but some of the higher ranked members of the tribe knew of the empire, and explained it, and what a tremendous honour it was to be offered this! having no one left here, thorkell decided to accept the offer, and join them. as he stepped on board the huge black craft, he couldn't have imagine, in his worst nightmares what he would soon go through... and endure! thorkell grew up with an intense hatred of wolves, but was none the less picked up by the space marines of the wolf brothers chapel, due to his savageness, and through his life with the wolf brothers, he eventually came to realize that the wolf had not been acting out of cruelty or malice, but instinct. just like the wolf, who needed to hunt and kill for food, to survive, he and his battle brothers needed to hunt and kill any enemies of humanity and the imperium, to survive. realizing this, thorkell found peace within himself, finally. he also believes that leman russ will one day return from the eye of terror, with the power to revive the emperor, and bring on a NEW golden age for humanity!
