[LFP][oWoD][V:tM] Shadows of Eternity - Looking for Fantastic Roleplayers - Evening Eastern times

This Chronicle is a roleplay-heavy, player-focused game that emphasizes the madness, the downward spiral, the loss that is Vampire. You should apply if you're the type of player that likes to get deep into a role, speak in character, and generally make a complete ass of yourself with strangers. Flavor: This Chronicle is an open-ended, sandbox-style play that intends to focus on the characters. There will be things going on in the world that the characters can take part in, get drawn into, be on the fringes of, or simply leave alone if they wish. In short, there will be plots going on all around them, but the story itself will be driven by the players - they're more like actors doing improv in a play, rather than characters following a set story. Themes: Cinematic, gothic and dark, this campaign emphasizes some of the lesser played aspects of Vampire. It strives to be realistic (in so much as vampires and werewolves can be realistic) in the world and its reactions to the players, but cinematic in that the players are really the central characters to their own story. It has a less 'casual' tone than a lot of Storytellers run, with less out-of-character discussion and trying to 'win' the game. About the ST: I place a heavy emphasis on roleplay, and not rollplay - I rarely allow players to min/max characters, instead preferring a more well-rounded, reasonable approach. I prefer to run games where there's less coterie infighting (i.e. I take the extra time to make sure all player characters have connections to all other player characters) and more of an 'us against the world' kind of feeling. I also prefer to keep the focus strongly on the player characters, rather than NPCs, and prefer the sandbox style of play rather than one more 'on the rails' so to speak. Plot will be going on, and players will have the ability to get involved, or not. About the group: We are an older, professional, laid-back group of dudes who are socially well-adjusted and just happen to enjoy a little roleplaying. We actually met playing in a different game and have continued to associate with each other since, so someone must've done something right. Mostly, we are looking for people who want to make cool and interesting characters that add to the group dynamic. We all get in character and can riff for quite a while roleplaying with each other, so if that is not your thing, we are probably not for you. We also do not require a ton of World of Darkness experience, so if you've been interested, are a cool and socially well-adjusted person, and would like to join, please apply. We'll craft a background that will fit your level of knowledge with the setting and we'll be off from there. But you will probably eventually have to read at least part of the book. Just sayin'. About the Game: Right now we are playing a neonate-focused Chronicle during Eastern time, probably on Tuesday or Thursdays, between 6-7pm. We play with the V20th ruleset (also called 4th ed), the most current edition. The player characters are a young group of neonates, coming to grips with what it means to no longer be a Fledgling under their Sire's protective, and sometimes smothering, embrace, in the city of New Haven, Connecticut. The city, already a bastion of violence for years, stands on the precipice of chaos, with rival factions sometimes rising and falling in the same night. The Prince of the city, Dominic Angelos, is beset on all sides as he slowly loses his grip on both his power and his sanity. Fledglings who have come of age beneath his brutal and tyrannical rule have known both starvation and excess, safety and insecurity, to the whims of the whimsical Prince. Only the intervention of a politically strong council of Primogen have kept the city from falling into complete anarchy. With the exception of a few close friends and confidants, your character is lost, adrift in this maelstrom, struggling for survival night by night and learning what it means to be a vampire. This sounds great, just the kind of group im looking for and at the right time too. But i dont like playing the badguys. So best luck and have a bump.
We really quickly got a ton of interested players. Thank you to everyone that applied - I did a quick interview with a couple folks based on their order of interest and found some really great players. Thanks for the bump, Tracers!
