Hello Guys and gals.
I have 1 spot in an ongoing LA chronicle that’s been going on for 7 months now and counting. Below you will find more information. My style My role as a ST is to present you with opportunities , challenges, obstacles, threats, etc, etc. How you handle it and what you do about it, is entirely up to you. you can completely ignore the hooks i dangle your way and decide to do something completely different. you are the masters of your own destiny,.... All this is decided between planned hooks and encounters and random events. General
Information I can not stress this enough, this is NOT D&D. The group is looking for adults and mature
individuals (20+ Age range) Also, I am quoting the
group “we need plotters and thinkers and people who think outside the box” This is NOT a hack and
slash chronicle. Here and there combat will take place, but it is not the focus
of the chronicle.
Flowing and nonlinear world with heavy emphasis
on character development, character driven plots and random events and
encounters. Players are limited by their imagination. I do not believe in railroading. the group. I am not
strong on voice acting and doing voices.
Roll20 is used along with skype (Audio a must video
optional but preferred)
Character Creation:
We will go through the character creation
together. You will have extra xp so you will be on par with the current power
level of the group. You will
be a new arrival to LA.
Some disciplines and clans are off limits
(Settites, Giovanni, Tzimisce, Harbingers of skulls, True brujah, that sort of
thing) Nothing to far fetched or weird. Been there, done that.
Theme and mood
Actions have consequences, the struggle to retain humanity. And the importance
of the masquerade. This is not an “evil”
chronicle in the true sense of the word. The group does not want a low humanity players who go out and start killing stuff left right and center. Was fun for a while role playing the act of taking blood, now it is more streamlined (You tell me where you go, and how and we make the roll)
My vision of the world of Darkness, 2015...
I am not a fan of the metaplot (gahena, thin bloods and what have you, so it isn’t
going to be relevant)
The Assamites curse was lifted, The clan fractured into 3 factions. Those loyal
to Alamut, Those who joined the Camarilla and those who remain with the sabbat.
The cathayans are not a factor, they originated in the far east, and this is
where they will stay. They have their own problems so they are not going to
make a move on the west coast.
Being familiar with werewolf the game, the lupines, in the world of darkness as
nasty as the stories and rumors make them to be. As a story teller, I am
not familiar with changelings and wraith, so not much cross reference will take
place on that front.
Party size
currently the group consists of myself and 3 players. (Group dropped one player
who was not really a fit)
Play time:
Averages out about once per week, Fridays or Saturdays (sometimes both)
from 6 PM EST to 11:30 PM sometimes we
push a bit more.
