With the Time War raging between the Time Lords and the Daleks, enveloping all of time and space in the conflict, the Doctor knew he could stand on the sidelines no more. To that end, he renounced his name and pledged to do what was necessary to bring about peace. But the fire of the war so vast and so fierce is not easily extinguished. Its strategies, its betrayals, its sheer devastation will severely test the Doctor who knows he can be the Doctor no more. And as the battlefields seem to stretch on for eternity, he will now face new and terrifying, unthinkable dilemmas... For, in this unrelenting Time War, no one is left untainted. And, perhaps, no one except the truly monstrous can survive its ferocity. The War Doctor: Fragile Alliances 1.1 The Deadliest Game As the Daleks push ever closer towards Gallifrey, the Time Lord High Command get word of a Cyber-Fleet attacking the Gallifreyan Colony of Elcorth. Arch-manipulator and Time Lord strategist, Cardinal Ollistra send her best “soldier” to investigate and turn the tide of the battle. Meanwhile the Dalek Time Strategist prepares a devastating plot to end the Time War once and for all... Characters needed: The War Doctor: One player to portray the War Doctor. The player should be able to RP the self-doubt and self-loathing that the Doctor faces every second of the War; as well as the kindness that he tries to bury deep down because at the end of the day he still is the Doctor and must always save as many as he can. Companions: 1-2 companions. What's the Doctor without companions to keep him grounded and human. Optional the Extra: If a player really wants they may take the role of one of the NPC's the party will meet during each of the episodes. This role would most likely change every session or two. This will be a 3-4 session campaign and will be first attempt at running this system. I hope to use the knowledge I gain here to learn what I can about the system for when I run my own custom time lord campaign. This will be heavily inspired by Big Finish's War Doctor audio stories and I definitely recommend checking them out or looking at the trailers. We will use Discord for voice and will play and estimated 4-6 hours a session. We will be using the 12th Doctor Core Rules +Day of the Doctor limited edition rules so that will be the final say on whats allowed. Other source books work pending review.
