Hello everyone -- I am quite new to TT gaming, but I'm very interested in starting to pick up the craft of DMing in addition to participating in games as a player. I'm looking for: 1) Like-minded people (with any amount of playing experience), who are interested in learning how to DM; and 2) DMs with some experience (and with any amount of playing experience), who are willing to guide, advise, and play along with the rest of us! Caveat: Will be text-only gaming, in English. Free-to-play, though. I thought I'd do a quick interest check before I invest a ton of time into planning this out, but the basic premise - which I believe I've seen around here before - is a 5e campaign where players take turns being the DM in short sessions. I'm open to either starting out with an experienced DM to get things rolling, or beginning the DM rotation right off the bat, whichever the group prefers. The makeup of the group (i.e. how many experienced DMs are participating, vs. how many newbies) will strongly influence the overall campaign; in case we can't round up any experienced DMs who want to join, I do have one or two ideas on how a group of just newbies can get started with their 'DM practice'. I think it would be neat to have DMs share common issues and problems they've encountered, for example a need for strategies to ride herd on a party with a wide variety of clashing alignments, and shape the campaign to address those. Any experienced DMs can also feel free to throw in a lesson or two on "things to do/NOT to do if you don't want your DM to send your whole party to the Agony Zone out of sheer frustration with their players". So, any takers?
