Pulling from compendium creates copy of existing creature

I play a druid and often import my beast forms into games. When I do this, the GM often gets frustrated as they can no longer pull a beast of that type out of the compendium due to it just adding a copy of my beast token to the map. Is there a fix to this? A way to disassociate my beasts with the compendium so that other beasts of the same type can be pulled out for combats/summoning etc? Thanks everyone.

Would renaming it fix this? Edit the character and change the name, so it shows as something else in the journal.

Depending on how this works out for you, I might develop this into a Stupid Trick. This is assuming the OGL sheet: 1. Create a new character, under the druid's control. Name it "Beast Form" in the PC view of the sheet. Switch it to NPC format. 2. To change stats, open the sheet by shift double clicking on the token. 3. Open the compendium and drag and drop the desired beast onto the open sheet (it cannot be popped out). This will replace the entire statblock on the Beast Form sheet, but should retain the unique character identification. If you drag "Black Bear" onto the Beast Form sheet, it should not affect any prior or subsequent Black Bears dragged from the compendium in the normal fashion. I just tried this quick and dirty on an OGL sheet campaign, but only did minimal testing
