Hello! As the title says, I'm looking for players for a homebrew Pathfinder campaign based on the Kingmaker adventure path. I have been playing RPGs for over 10 years, and have been GMing most of that time. I usually write my campaigns from scratch, but I don't have enough spare time right now for that. Which is why I am going to base this campaign on Kingmaker, and mix it with my own content. For example, the setting will be completely homebrewed. Kingmaker is a sandboxy campaign where the players, besides just going on quests, will eventually found a kingdom of their own and rule as they see fit. The game will be played 18.30 to 23.00 (6:30 pm to 11 pm) UTC/GMT+1 on Mondays or Thursdays (that is, European times). Which day it'll be depends on when people are free. I will able to play 2/3 to 3/4 of all weeks. We'll play by voicechat over google hangouts or skype. A working headset is required. If this sounds interesting to you, please post in this thread or PM me. I want you to write a little bit about who you are, what you're looking for in a game and which day works for you. Previous experience of DnD or Pathfinder is not required, I'd be happy to teach. I'm aiming for 5 players. If I get more than 5 interested, I will try to pick the ones I think will work the best as a group. I estimate about 1 week for recruitment, and about 1 week for character creation. Well met, Erik

Hi! Im very interested in joining your game, i am currently Gm:ing a couple of games but am now looking to join in a game as a player, i love Roleplaying and have never cared much for minmaxing or powergaming but if possible i will play a melee class, either barbarian, rogue or a monk. I can play mondays, most fridays and all weekend. If you want to ask me anything then please send me a Pm on roll20 or skype: Swepl94 Ps. will we be using skype or something like that for the game? Edit: i forgot to mention that im also available on Thursdays.
Great! I will wait until I get a few more players before I start interviewing, but I'll be in touch. We'll use google hangouts or skype. I'll edit the first post to make it clearer, thanks for reminding me.
I have a microphone but my soundcard is dying so occassionally it momentarily stops working. I also don't know if it would work with google hangouts(It should). Would I still be eligable to join? About me: I have been dming for 8 and a half years, playing the odd game in between. When I do play I tend to play "Quirkier builds" I am very into the roleplaying aspect of the game though. Classwise. I Want to try out a cavalier or possibly oracle/witch. Out of the game, I guess I want a good story and the choices to actually matter. As it is sandbox I'd like to see it not be very railroady.
That would depend on exactly how unreliable your soundcard is (fuzzy answer, I know). Do you have any plans on getting it fixed? The VoIP service we use shouldn't matter for the soundcard. What days are you free? Kingmaker is a published module that's supposed to be a sandbox. There is an overarching plot that you will need to deal with. It is not a total sandbox, but more so than most other published campaigns. One of the reasons I base this campaign on it, is so that I will have material to fall back on if you go your own way, even though I won't have that much time to prepare my own stuff every week. The stuff I create on my own will sometimes widen the original sandbox, even though most of what I change will modify existing things.
Always wanted to play Kingmaker. So gonna toss in some interest in this. The times work out for me (I am GMT-5 timezone). About me stuff: Been playing Pathfinder for a little more than a year now, and played 3rd edition from 2001-2006. DMed AD&D 2nd edition from 1998-2000. As for classes, I am one of the strange people who enjoy healing, though I like to play others. I typically go for more Str-based characters when not being the healer. My choices for feats and other options (like rage powers, alchemist discoveries, etc) lean more on the "theme" spectrum over "MORE POWER!!!", though I make sure my thematic choices don't drag everything down and make me a hindrance. I would be available on Monday or Thursday, though Monday would be the my preferred choice (typically go grocery shopping at about the time this would start on Thursdays).
Great to see so many interested in this, I have about 13 candidates right now that I need to select from. I'm going away over the weekend, so the interviewing and so on will start in earnest beginning of next week. I haven't made any decisions yet, so there's still time to apply.
Hello Erik, I was referred to your campaign by a friend who is the DM of the campaign I am currently playing. I would be very interested in joining you in this. I have only little experience in D&D and roleplaying overall, the campaign I've been involved in since last autumn is the first I have played, although I have some prior knowledge of the technical aspects of the system. I am generally interested in playing leader-type characters, so the Kingmaker setting sounds very appealing to me. I'm currently playing a Wizard, so I would like to do something more of a martial type if I could be part of your campaign. I have been mulling over some character concepts that I would like to find a D&D "implementation" for. On a non-player side I am very interested in mapmaking and world building in general, another reason why the Kingmaker setting sounds very appealing to me. Both Mondays and Thursdays should be doable for me, though Monday would definitely be preferred, i might have trouble being on-time on Thursdays. Regards, -Lukas

Ok, so I've had about 25 applications for this campaign so far. It's fun to see so many people interested, but it's really quite overwhelming and makes it really hard to decide who to invite... Anyhow, I've sent out the first round of invites now, so application is closed. Depending on how it works out with the first chosen, I might need more players later, but for now we're full. I'd like to thank everyone who applied for showing their interest!
