So I'm going for something a little unique here. Think a cross-venue world of darkness game but with the easy narrative based mechanic qualities of Monsterhearts. The game will be a persistent world type of game with numerous players. Something that's always going if someone is online. It will be set to est. time for In Character purposes of daylight and night time. The story will be completely player driven after we work together to build the world. People will join and start connecting via character creations backstory threads. I really need social players who will want to work with other players during their creation to create dynamic relationships that could be romantic or toxic and dangerous. Monsterhearts has a flair for the player vs. player interactions. Looking for mature players only, characters will be from 18-23. In order for the game to be truly GM less I will also include the Mythic GM-Emulator Link and a brief write- up on how it works. This will help if players want a story to happen but neither wants to be the driving force. Basically you ask it simple yes and no questions and decide on a scale how likely or unlikely it is using a 50/50 type setting if you genuinely would have no idea what to expect. It will even include random events as the chaos meter can be and is altered sliding either upward or downward based on the intensity of events of the players personal stories; random events become more or less likely. These are generally vague descriptions and lead to other plot hooks and stories that characters can play around with. We can decide the general laws of the supernatural groups and the general dynamics between them as players begin to gather threads on each other. I hope common themes will arise common enemies, common allies. The PC's will interact sometimes as friends sometimes enemies. There is one big map modeled after an actual New Orleans street map. This map will be complete with apartments and housing for players(( you pick and I will add furniture and a location label and alter the map to your liking if possible )) , bars, shopping, hospitals, churches, police stations. You will be free to move around on the map you will be able to see other players profiles and pictures.I love photo-shopping so expect custom tokens and such. I just want you to pick a character picture of a real person maybe someone young and beautiful from tv, movies or a model . If you want your hair color or eye color to be different or maybe slightly pointed ears let me know I can likely make it happen and love helping. Gameplay will be on a private discord server each general location will have a channel where text based Roleplay will happen. I know there will be no GM but I will act as moderator in the case of disputes. While the city map , your homes, the profiles, tokens, dice rolls and sheets will all be hosted on roll20. I will likely have my own character running around in the world as well. You may also post your own fiction to the game forums under a thread titled with your character name for other players to read. Somewhat of a Journal though this doesn't mean that your characters necessarily carries a journal. I encourage you to consider using the random monster table I will provide to create baddies on the fly to serve as excitement. Sometimes the PC's may not be enemies but still want something exciting to get into, work with other players involved in the scene on the monster building, keep it light and loose remember you only have 4 hit points for most general purposes. Combat and harm should be dealt sparingly and only contribute to the story and the drama. As far as theme , Buffy , The Vampire Diaries, Lost Girl, Bitten, The Magicians Apprentice, If it's young kinda hip and has the occasional often semi-permanent death then this game is going to be for you. Whether you are the monster or the hunter, you realize death is a very permanent solution and often comes with heavy consequences of their own. I really hope this sounds interesting to some of you. I'm looking for a good 20-30 players. I really want something that I can hop on and do and play with people who just want some good old text based storytelling. It's gonna need to be treated like a group of friends around a table. I have used they Mythic GM Emulator with this system and my own tabletop group and we had a grand time. PVP is sort of part of Monsterhearts but killing a PC should really be reserved for dramatic scenes in which both players agree a death makes the most sense for an awesome story.
