Hello ! I will jump into it so people don't lose interest in reading this post to quickly! Time Zone : Mountain, U.S. (I will play outside this time zone if it matches my time, English is my only language though) Availability : Monday -Thursdays 6 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Preferred Setting/Favorites : 5th edition (Tal'dorie), Star Wars, 7th Seas Experience : 25 years D&D Tabletop, 20 years RP, 2 years Roll20 Character : Just please don't make me heal. Please. Even if I offer, say no. I don't learn from my mistakes! To expand: I am Lisa, I live in Colorado, I am a mom, and I own my own company so my schedule is mine to make! I am going to ramble so please forgive me! My availability is when my school-age kids are away, and this really combines with a few things I will go into later. I do have dogs and a kid not old enough for school but he's pretty independent. Saying that I may need to get up here and there for quick quick breaks but I don't let it get out of hand. If I can't show up to a session I let you know well in advance and I don't mind people rolling for my character in my absence. I really want to do 5th edition, and I love love love Matt Mercers world so that would be so so so cool. Now here is where I get a little picky, and I have some pet peeves. 1) I want to play with adults. I have teens, even older teens and although I like to lightly goof off and make jokes I don't want to be with immature players because I use this as my escape from that aspect of my life. I know age can mostly be taken as just a number if you are a mature young adult I won't be able to tell if you are mature so that's fine. Being excited and having fun is one thing, but when it takes away from the setting, the game time, and the immersion I just don't have fun. I also like long sessions with a break or two for bio and snacks. 2) Open player mics, I really enjoy discord more then the roll20 but whatever works for the DM I will enjoy. I hope not to play with open mics, push to talk is sooo much better for Roleplay and story immersion. I dislike hearing people eat, sniffle, and hear their dogs bark in the background. I REALLY get uncomfortable when we can hear them talk to people in the RL world while we play...its just a thing for me. Cameras are ok if you want to stream, I don't mind at all! 3) Experience is not mandatory, but I hope my fellow players respect the DM and other players enough to know they should try to watch some videos or read tutorials enough to keep the game flowing. There is nothing worse than a newb who refuses to take notes and help themselves and takes away from the game time to be explained or helped. I don't mind helping outside of the game time, but we all have busy lives and its a miracle we get time to spend together for a single day a week, lets not waste it making jokes that drag on so everyone can one-up each other and explaining how to find the initiative button for the 5th time. BUT ALSO I totally don't expect everyone to be an expert on all the things, because I am not one myself. I have trouble with Roll20's drag and drop system and sometimes my macros can need some tweaks. 4) Discord is a must, I like to chat out of character, show off pictures of our pets, and just get to know the people I play with. BUT also I don't want to see guys with their shirts off holding peace signs in front of the mirror of their bathroom. I'm here to make friends and be cordial but NOT THAT FRIENDLY. Also, I want to play with fellow nerds who know the cardinal rules of the geekdom. "Don't be a dick", please do not talk down to me or mansplain, respect me and my character and go into it knowing I am not my character. To finish up the #1 thing I absolutely need is Roleplay. I want to play with people who can be improvisational and can get into their character and the world. A DM who can carry a long-term storyline and a world that can allow us to discover and explore, but intice mystery and intrigue. I need my fellow players to know the line of story and character and the real world, and understand metagaming sucks. I like to play with people and characters I enjoy to be around, everyone cant be a dark brooding outsider....then we would never REALLY be together and enjoy others company and how can you do a group campaign with people who hate other people? Okay , I am done rambling. Seriously. Oh, wait! How to get ahold of me? Discord Lisa#3822 I guess here, although I don't know if I would check to be honest Email? Lisa_grlwitgun@hotmail.com
