We're starting a new 5th edition campaign with myself as dm with 40 years experience and two other guys so far who are both DM's but a lot less experience. The game is going to run on Monday evenings EST 9 p.m . for a few hours every week. We are seeking players age 21 or olde r who can tolerate a little bit of swearing in character but I don't want to make it a habit or continuous. I am building the campaign over the next few weeks the launch date is going to be a few weeks from now, 27 August. it's going to be low fantasy in a Wilderness mountains area. Long rest will be a week so I'm shooting for gritty realism with exhaustion, hunger and encumbrance and all that. The governmental setup is a theocracy. the Empire collapsed 500 years ago leaving six kingdoms of spin offs and the theocracy is mostly lawful good which is rapidly being undermined by banditry, lawlessness and a force of witches combined with some warlocks and a rival Temple. Since long rest is a week the warlocks are relatively powerful. I'm mostly using core classes although I am including a witch class that I found on the internet We're looking for players that get along no power or dominance games among the players no killing each other off no murder hobos. play your character as written... and lots of player agency for the storyline... which is going to be based on the characters backstories for the most part. I'm going to have a relatively detailed Pantheon and guilds and things you can join as a player character and lots of detail... Maps, NPCs and lore.
