In the increasingly sandy reaches between Old Town and the Badlands, the crumbling remains of a dozen lost empires dot the land. One such ruin is known to be the lair of The Gorgon, a minor villain of little influence in the region. Intelligence intercepted by agents of the Senate of Old Town indicate a phalanx of hobgoblins assemble near the World's Scar to set out on an urgent mission to the lair of The Gorgon for reasons unknown. The indecisive Senate of Old Town will know the reason why before committing its hoplites to forcing the monsters back into the scorched wastes of the Badlands. The long picked-over heap of an abandoned city, once the jewel of a mighty orcish empire crumbles in an emerald valley. Every protagonist from Lionguard worth mentioning has delved this corrupt place before and it is said that little, if any, glory or gold remains. So why are the Sultans of Rajashi sending a phalanx of hobgoblin sellswords here to this distant and forlorn ruin? What possible business could they have with The Gorgon - a minor villain with few long-reaching schemes and even less influence - who lairs somewhere in the depths? Major Quest: Discover the reason for the Sultans' sudden interest in the ruin and what business they have, if any, with The Gorgon. Prevent them from achieving their goals. Minor Quest: The foolhardy son of Senator Semanticus of Old Town, Ducius, struck out on his own to the Ruin of the Gorgon to prove his mettle. He has not been seen for several weeks. Find and rescue Ducius if possible. Join us tonight for a 3rd-level D&D 5e one-shot as character delve into mysterious ruin to discover what an ancient civilization left behind. The game starts promptly at 7 pm Eastern and should last about 4 hours.
