Howdy!
Im looking to start a 5E Eberron game. Its probably my
favorite to play in and I got a copy of the updated rules as soon as they came
out!
Ive got three basic ideas for what I want to do, unfortunately
I neither have the talent nor the time to do the whole sandbox thing. I
generally start a night with one to three possible paths prepared and while I
can and do a lot of stuff on the fly (and often will x.x) I much prefer a
general frame work from which to work. Im a big BIG role-player and am ruled by
the Rule of Cool! So
1) Start
in Lower Dura as a group of random outcasts whom witnessed a not super uncommon
thing, a body fell from the higher wards and goes spalt. One of the group of
passersby(yall) stops and looks at the corpse for reasons, sees the dude was
obviously dead before his sudden stop. The group then goes to a nearby tavern
to raise a glass in the dude’s honor, so he doesn’t come back to kill them, and
the oddness is brought up. Adventure Time!
2) Start
in Morgrave University be part of an expedition to Xendrik to find the lost city
of Xal’Sharat, weird in that the professors running the show picked seemingly
random people to be on this expedition(yall). The party members are part of a prophecy
by Flamewind, they have to enter the center of Xal’Sharat before the end of the
year or bad. Cue Indian Jones music.
3) Be
a group of randos waiting out the night in First Tower. Largeish group of “Monsters”
enter the bar. Bar fight ftw. Start using old Droaam and Darguun battle cries
from the last war. After bar fight find a fuckhueg amount of some weird drug on
them, likely headed for Daask based on who and what made up the group. You can
A) Go into the lower wards and find out whats up, maybe get in on this trade, maybe
break it up or B) Droaam is wonderful this time of year, or so you hear.
Im looking for a group of 4 to 5 Players. I don’t mind new
players. All the races in the PHB except Dragronborn and Tieflings are useable,
as are all the races in the Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberron. All other races are
on a case by case basis.
All fully published classes are also acceptable, assuming
you have the publication it came from and can send me a copy of the relevant books.
UA material will also be on a case by case basis.
If you wish to play a Dragonmarked character that’s fine,
but you will be either a Foundling, an Excoriate or an Aberrant. If you want to
play a Wandslinger Ill allow it on a case by case basis. I am fairly flexible with playtime. I would prefer weekends, but I can make weekdays work as well.
If you’re interested in playing, please tell me which idea
sounds most interesting to you and give me a quick little character concept and when the best time to play is for you. Im
very big into the Role-Playing aspect of the game, I understand not everyone
is, and that’s A-Okay! But a little thought into who your character is isn’t that
onerous is it?
