Hello! I'll be your guide through this brief ad. Call me Duck. I have been conscripted by the local commissar asked kindly to write the ad in an attempt to find a game. We both have accounts but its easier if we manage finding a game from one. The Summary Two players, myself and Digi, looking for a game starting no earlier than 6pm PST on Fridays. We're open to new systems but have experience with 3.5-5th Ed D&D, 13th Age, FFG Star Wars, AEG's L5R, and some dabbling in Fate. We're open to new systems, particularly Shadowrun, as long as you don't mind some learning during the first session. We're a couple but, even in the unlikely event we play one in game, wont shove that in peoples faces. We're here to roleplay. (I am obliged to add this disclaimer after some bad tables I've been at.) The Who Sadly, we are not
the band. My girlfriend and I are looking for a game to join. We have varying
levels of experience in various systems. I have more experience with systems like
L5R (not FFG's system, AEG's last edition), FFG Star Wars (All of it. I help
run a living campaign that has been ongoing for 2+ years. Let’s talk about how
crafting is busted), and some minor excursions into FATE and Mekton. I haven't
played a single game of 5th Edition because I prefer homebrewed games and my
local Adventurer's League scene is not the best. I tend to swing either towards
older characters, such as a scarred captain of the guard, or 'inexperienced'
characters like a hotshot conman ready to go for that one big score. I like
martial classes in a fantasy setting but in a modern/sci-fi setting I enjoy
being the driver. Give me your cars, spaceships, or Akira motorcycles. In the
end I'm drawn to interesting concepts than min/maxed builds. The Overlord Digi, on the other hand, has played more 3rd- 5th edition D&D than just about anything else and has vastly more experience with dungeons than I do. Dragons are still up for debate. She prefers support classes though her actual character concepts tend to vary more wildly than mine, so sadly I can't write a long creative pitch for her. She makes characters, not stat sheets. She's drawn to concepts more than mechanics as well so don't expect a perfect minmaxed stat sheet from her either. The What We're looking for a game. Obviously 5th Edition D&D is a welcome choice. FFG systems (Genesys, Star Wars, L5R if it ever releases) is also familiar ground. We're both interested in new systems, not just what we've played already. We both enjoy the Shadowrun setting but haven't found a group to play it with, so that is high on our list of things we want to try. My passing experience with FATE left me intrigued as well. The When This is the easy one. Any start time between 6pm and 10pm PST. We both work until roughly an hour beforehand, so we cant swing anything before then. We don't really need a why section, right? Excellent. This is it, y'all. Here's hoping this was at least an enjoyable read and I hope to hear back from folks.
