I'm play-testing a card-based game where a player's deck can mix cards from different decks, displaying different backs. Those decks could be created before hand, but it's important that a player's cards can show different back before their actual face is revealed : how could I do that ?

This is not currently possible on Roll20.  There are some solutions you can use via the API, but they wouldn't be satisfactory for the most part.
