Giant Robots, Mechs, Super Sentai! (SURFF)

It has been a while since I last posted. I hope this is the right forum sub-section! I have been working diligently on a RPG system which I call S.U.R.F.F. aka Super Ultimate Robot Fighting Frenzy! This is a user-friendly system that focuses on both the "Ground" aspects of the characters life (and battle) as well as fighting inside (or out) of gigantic robots. I'm not aware of any rules about posting entire works here, I will try and give a short summary of what SURFF might entail/include. While mainly things are decided through dice rolls, SURFF takes a heavy side on story. The 'turns' of most games are Scenes, and what a general Adventure might be to most groups is a Episode. On certain Episodes certain things happen, like a bad guy being promoted or becoming more powerful, gaining access to new weapons/technology or even additional robots. SURFF has both a random chart and preset Episode to Episode list of events. After the characters are created, as well as the main villain, his 'right hand' men/women, 'creature of the week' type monsters (and their lacky henchmen) you can start playing. Stories start off on a single story plot, which will be interrupted or become harder to manage while a "Creature of the Week" (aka CoW) attacks the city or tries to pull of some fiendish plan. I've set a example story for the baddies and what a episode might include. Phantomonius, an Evil Space Lord, ends up destroying a planet, leaving all but a single child, which he names Vile and raises to be his own (Forgive my abuse of commas) Phantomonius has the ability to draw spirits that are lost, and grant them to other "CoW's to enable them to grow (Much like Super Sentai, to let combat be on both ground and in a giant robot) Phantomonius spoils Vile by purchasing all the 'CoW's that Vile wants, and sending them down to destroy (whatever planet the group is playing on) Vile decides to send down the Tortankalator to eat up the cities supply of food. The group of players are training, or at work, and have to use their Travel Mechanism (Car, Plane, Jet-pack, Teleporter, there are levels of how effective it is) and defeat a group of henchmen, which act as a cannon fodder barrier between the CoW and the group. The Henchmen also give the CoW time to 'activate' the spirit given to him/her by Phantomonius, allowing them to become extremely powerful. If the group is able to beat up the CoW before it can fully use the spirits power, then it forces itself to grow, and isn't as deadly. Then players then use their travel mechanism to get to / inside their robot (or control it from long range) and begin an epic battle of grand porpotions. Stats are directly multiplied inside a robot by the pilots stats (which are three: Agility, Power, Valor) and per "Scene" adds up "Moral" enabling crazy super abilities, like bringing out a crazy powerful weapon, merging your robots together to make a new one, transforming and much more I have much more information, of course, but I want to see if there is any interest out there. This takes inspiration from things like Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, Gun X Sword, Super Sentai / Power Rangers and many more Super Robot shows! Originally this was going to be a project that split up Real Robot 'tropes' with Super Robots, but became a numbers game instead of fun. (Trying to find a unique balance of the two types, and make differences in classes) Instead the game ended up with a free form character creation, and encourages heavily on random story progression. Does Vile decide to murder Phantomonius and take his place, being a spoiled brat, or does Phantomonius come to his evil senses and gets rid of the child. Perhaps a 'CoW' defeated the group (No Death!) you can decide that it becomes a reoccurring "General" character. Even story based randomness, including NPC's joining the party to win that extra bit that you need. SURFF was mainly about teamwork and fun, which is why death is not a part of the game. Instead you might gain an extra 'weakness' or an arch enemy. TLDR version- Do you like Giant Robots? Super Robots? Teamwork? Let me know, and if you have any tips for a nifty/fun/cooky "Creature of the Week" feel free to drop it through!
I think my live group is going to start playing a giant mechs game next month using Fate Accelerated as a base. Interesting to see someone else's approach. Important and related to our game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zY65OdgJ_Y&list=RD0zY65OdgJ_Y
