Hi! If you're interested, please apply here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/128234/the-last-age-of-edda Games are Thursdays @ 6:00 Pacific, starting September 13 Sessions will likely be 3-4 hours, depending on group preference. The great kingdoms of the past fell long ago, leaving the world of men in a dark age of ignorance and superstition. The ancient evils were swept from the land with the old empires, but in recent years dim figures have crept from the shadows. After millennia of relative peace, darkness grows in Edda once again. Game Details Welcome to The Last Age of Edda, an epic campaign, where your actions will shape events not just for your party, but for the entire land. What I offer A welcoming environment, intricate maps, dynamic lighting, sound FX, and thoughtfully crafted NPCs for you to interact with What you should offer A willingness to engage with the events of the world and kindness towards all of your fellow participants Setting Details As a homebrew setting, there are some key differences from published settings that players should be aware of: Edda is a setting with relatively low magic. This is not to say that your character will be restricted from using magic, but the average peasant will not have experienced magic. Instead, the rarity of magic marks magic-using PCs as particularly awe-inspiring, but may also engender fear and hatred from the superstitious populace. Edda's technological and social setting resembles that of the dark ages. Imagine a world similar to the 7th century AD. Most people live in tiny agrarian settlements or nomadic tribes, though some larger cities and city states do exist. Life is difficult and the average person knows little of events outside their community. Gods, creatures, and races from published books may not exist or may be dramatically different from how they are described in the books. For example, dragons do not conform to the chromatic/metallic system. Instead, each dragon possesses unique attributes. For that matter, most people in Edda consider dragons to be an extinct relic from an ancient past. Certain playable races are also not available. Dragonborn, aasimar, and tieflings don't exist in Edda. Orcs were driven from the land centuries ago, so half-orcs are out. As such, the list of playable races is: Human Elf Dwarf Halfling Gnome Firbolg Goliath Note: As with magic-users, fearful humans may treat non-human races with fear, awe, or derision in their travels Mechanical details Feats are allowed, but no multiclassing please No evil characters PCs start at level 1 Stats are 4d6, drop 1 or standard array This game is not pay to play, but there are a couple technical requirements: Discord will be used for voice chat Spotify Premium will be used for music (Spotify allows people using Discord to "DJ" for one another; music will be used throughout the campaign, so it will be an important element for setting the tone of the game)
(im interested but your application link is not toward the LFG page)
Also interested, and also was about to point out that the link doesn't seem to work ^^

Hmm, that's strange. The link is correct when I click on it, but it seems to be redirecting for some reason. Here's a link to the game page: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/128234/the-last-age-of-edda
That link works, but it takes us to a link that says "Not Authorized Either you are not logged in or do not have access to this page." As I'm currently logged in, I'm guessing the issue is with not having access to the page instead
your linking to the personal group page not the LFG page,
Ah, I see. My mistake. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/128234/the-last-age-of-edda
