Name: Chris Sex: Male Age (optional) : 31 Time Zone: EDT. Previous Experience & Playstyle: I've been playing tabletop games for about 15 years, mostly in person but with a few games online sprinkled in between. I have played two one-shots in Saga Edition, and a full campaign in the previous D20 Star Wars system. My other experience is with various editions of D&D, World of Darkness Games, and many other systems sprinkled in-between. I am usually a GM for my group(s), but when I play I prefer roleplay-heavy characters, and really enjoy playing good people who have some sort of Sword of Damocles hanging over them, such as a past indiscretion, a strict code to follow, or black-mail that can lead to interesting roleplay opportunities. I like social characters, though it can be just as fun to take a non-social beatstick and thrust them into a socially complex situation. I'm also a huge Star Wars fan, and am very well versed in the Expanded Universe (Legends) where I draw a lot of inspiration from. Character Ideas: Ranked roughly in order. I think the second one is the most interesting, but also the most "extreme", so it might not fit with every campaign. (Human Noble) Born to a noble family on Ord Mantell, Dolis Tharn grew up in a life of relative ease before the Clone Wars. At a young age he took to gambling, enjoying the thrill in games of chance. The Clone Wars brought some devastation to Ord Mantell, but a young man with a keen eye could make a lot of money if he lacked scruples doing it. As the war waned and the Empire rose to power, Dolis found himself dragged out of his games and into the real world. A political rival of his mother's accused the family of aiding the Confederacy during the war, and his parents were both arrested for treason. Dolis fled Ord Mantell, where he was found by Organa's organization. After some internal turmoil, he decided to turn over a new leaf, and use his fast talking to try to free his parents - one way or another. Focused on the Influence Talent Tree. (Ithorian Noble) As an aid to the an Ithorian Senator, Dethmawanara (or, really, just Deth is fine) grew up far from the forests of his ancestral home. The jungles of Courscant were instead built on politics, duracrete, and lies. Groomed for politics, he took his people's teachings on peace and non-violence to heart, acting as a mediator and judge. The rise of the Empire, however, was also the death knell for the Ithorian people's freedom. Using their calls for peace as justification to label them dangerous dissidents, the Empire moved in and overthrew Ithor's sovereignty. Deth, along with many others, wanted to fight back in some way, even if it was not with a blaster or starfighter. He was recruited by Alderaan's Bail Organa, and joined his group - offering his services as a philosopher and leader, even if he was loathe to handle a weapon. Focused on the Inspiration Talent Tree. (Duros Soldier) Meer Kranik was a mercenary soldier during the Clone Wars, fighting for freedom from the Republic. Many saw the Droid Armies of the CIS as a purely evil power-play by greedy dissidents, but to Meer, it was about the right for people to rule themselves, away from the central power of Coruscant. The rise of the empire only hardened this resolve, and Meer has truly become a revolutionary who believes in the rights of each individual to cast off the yoke of oppression and free themselves. He fancies himself the warrior-poet, and rubs people as a bit of a blowhard, but he's genuine in his cause. Focused on the Commando Talent Tree.
