Tokens on the DL layer.

I've been playing with dynamic lighting, which I find very cool btw, I have a question. I've been through the wiki and it has been most helpful but I need some clarification. Particularly Remember that any drawings or tokens added to the dynamic lighting layer are invisible whenever the dynamic lighting layer is not selected. I put a torch token on the DL layer, click "emits light" and give it a distance. DL is enabled. Back on the token layer, I cannot see the torch; however, I do see the light. If I move the torch to the token layer, then it is shown. putting it on the token layer works well, just curious about the wording of the bold line above.
The bolded text simple means that the token art is invisible while not looking at the DL layer. However the effects of the token, such as any light it emits, can be seen on the other layers.

Some additional information: There are situations where you have a map with torches or other light sources already so you would put a token (say a torch) that is emitting light on the dynamic lighting to simulate those map features functioning. There are API scripts (pro feature) that you can use to turn the individual token lights on and off.
