ARE YOU A ROLE PLAYER OR A NUMBER CRUNCHER? If the answer is the former then Dungeon World might just be the Game for you. In Dungeon World the Campaign is driven by the Player's Actions, Interactions, and Most Importantly the Player's Imaginations. Anyone interested in a Dungeon World Campaign, running on Wednesday Nights at 7:00 PM CDT, Post Something here and or send Ajax a Private Message. This is the best system for imaginative role players.
Are players new to D&D welcome and what classes and races are available.

This is not D&D, it is a fantasy role playing game using an easier to learn game mechanic that lends itself more to player imagination than number crunching.  And yes anyone especially new players are welcome.
The mechanics in Dungeon World are different from most systems which use a Dice Roll verse an ever-changing Target Number, Dungeon World uses a mechanic that you roll against a Target that never changes and success is based on the Roll result. Instead of a d20+modifiers being rolled DW uses 2d6+modifier, a result of 10 or more is a complete success, 7-9 is success with a consequence, and 6 or less is a failure. There are no rounds, no initiative, no defined movement, it is much more cinematic. In D&D or say Pathfinder you really couldn't have level 1 characters encounter a hostile red dragon, in Dungeon World, you could.  Actual game play has the GM/DM describe a situation, the player describes what he'll try to do and roll his dice, and the GM will tell him the result. Here is a Player Basic Move Called  Hack and Slash When you attack an enemy in melee , roll+Str. On a 10+ you deal your damage to the enemy and avoid their attack. At your option, you may choose to do +1d6 damage but expose yourself to the enemy's attack. On a 7-9, you deal your damage to the enemy and the enemy makes an attack against you. The enemy makes an Attack against you means it delivers it's damage, there is no Roll, in DW the GM doesn't Roll ANY DICE. There several Basic Moves that cover just about anything the player wants to try. I hope this brief explanation helps. This is an Imaginative Role Player's Dream, simply put "You Play to See What Happens"... -Ajax
Looking for 4 players to start on Wednesday Night with a Character Creation Session. Post Here if Interested or Send Ajax a Private Message. Thank you.
Hi Ajax, I would like to join the group if there is an open space. This will be my first time playing and I'm reading the book to eventually run a game in the future. Let me know! Thanks.
Could use one or two more players.
The best way, IMO, to describe Dungeon World (and games in its family) is the following way: Remember back when you were totally new to D&D and the DM described some orcs charging you and you blurted out "I want to quickly fire a shot at the orc's face to distract him to create an opening so that Leper can stab him!" But then DM stopped you to tell you that first you need to wait your turn in the initiative order. Then, also, you don't learn how to blind someone like that for 5 more levels. Also, you can't setup flanking with a ranged attack. Also, shooting someone in the face isn't really a thing. Also... Dungeon World tries to take you back to those good old naive days and lets you do exactly what was first described.
