Over the past year or so, I've been writing and filling out a game of mine, which I'm planning on beta testing, so to speak, in an RPG campaign. I've spent the better part of a couple years working on this, so I'd really like to have people who I know can take it well participate. As far as details go, it's pseudo-lovecraftian, but more... fantastical? The best comparison I can make is to Solomon Kane. The game is in Pathfinder, with modifications to class structure and spellcasting, but it's primarily an investigative campaign. I want to put PC's from different times into a post-collapse future, and you guys will need to chart out the map and learn about the history (something that's been a significant project of mine to make it as diverse and extensive as I can). A key element is psychological disorder and trauma, and you guys will need to put effort into investigating each other's and your own histories to see what makes you special enough to be where you are. Furthermore, you will be given the chance to play a hand in the events of the world itself. There will be lots of clue-hunting, intrigue, and adventure, with a good smattering of cults, historical accuracy (!), and monsters. With the historical elements, you will get a significant advantage if you take the cues and look into the parallels between this world and real historical events, especially using your characters' own backgrounds to effect. I'm looking for four, maybe five, players, just so that it's not too full. Here is the roll20 link, take a look at the post about character creation and make your own topic with your character using the template. I'll be picking characters to join the campaign. The sessions will be on Fridays at 9PM EST.
