[LFP] [5e] Looking for a long-term game in a homebrew setting?

I'm looking to start a new Roll20 campaign and need 4 players. It'll be a pretty relaxed, narrative-focused game with a fair amount of combat as well. Level 3 characters, free to play, no voice chat, no 18+ content, LGBT-friendly, no murder-hobos. I'm hoping to find people who can commit to a long-term weekly schedule. I'm thinking games will be every Monday evening (EST) but we can all decide the exact time together. If this sounds up your alley, please respond with your name, time zone, experience with D&D, and a brief bio for a character you'd like to play! For example: Name: Darren Timezone: EST Experience: I've been playing both 5e and homebrew systems for a couple years now. Bio: I want to play a rowdy halfling fighter named Jo who used to be a sailor, but since her former captain died, she's become an adventurer instead. I look forward to hearing from you!

Bio: I want to play a Human Fiend Warlock who's familiar is also the patron he swore his pact to, leading to a weird master/servant relationship where neither can get anything done in an argument.

I have been all around the block, running and playing games like 5e, Pathfinder, PbtA games, Fate, and many others! Bio: I don't have a specific character idea quite yet, as I would wanna know some more about my party and the world, but I'm thinking either a Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, or Bard A little about me? I'm a young non-binary friend who loves to tell stories with other people! I love to commit to long term character development and storytelling! Would love to play!

When you say no voice chat, as in no discord, teamspeak or even r20 chat? just reading? that's kinda….boring unless I am understanding you wrong. I like talking and roleplaying between members. it's fun

To clarify for those who have asked, yes, I do mean using text only. I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's my personal preference as a DM. In my experience, you can certainly still chat, roleplay, talk OOC, etc. without necessarily doing it over a microphone.

Name : Kole Timezone : Central Experience : I've been text RPing (chat, script, para ect) for more than 15 years. When it comes to D&D, I've had a couple of years of experience, mostly running or playing 5E (so I'm VERY aware of the rules! I've been called a walking handbook, hah). I've also played Monster of the Week, a lot. When I ran a homebrewed 5E campaign, I often made my own tokens, maps, backdrops and other assets. To boot, I've got a game art degree, so expect a lot of drawings of our shenanigans!  Bio : I generally like to hear what sort of setting we're getting into before fully forming a character concept. I've played Ranger, Paladin Sorcerer and Bard. I'd also love to give rogue a shot. My tendency is to play characters who are smart but make bad/impulsive decisions. I've also played extremely perceptive but very dim witted characters, too. I love having someone who has one really really bad stat. Example: My dwarven ranger had a 4 in charisma. Super bad social anxiety, super bad at putting words together, but his WIS was through the roof. So he'd notice dangers, but could not convince ANYONE to listen to him over it. Good times.  I'll also say a bit about myself, sure. I've been drawing my whole life, but only because I love stories. I'm 32 (if that's a game-changer, I know a lot of people who are 18-22 would not want to game with someone ten years older than them, which is absolutely fair). I prefer players and DM's who remember the game is for having fun and building a story collaboratively. I'm also transgender and bisexual, so I generally play characters who are in some fashion queer. I think that's about it??? I'm a pretty typical nerd.
