New to tabletop games

I've never played a tabletop, but I've always wanted to. I'm looking for a group willing to play with a total newbie in a few oneshots or something to help break me in.
Hello, and welcome to the hobby! You should list your time zone and availability to help find a group

EDT, UTC -4. Either late at night, or in the mornings.
While I would greatly enjoy that... I don't know how to PM. I tried. I can get a title in, but the text box doesn't seem to be working.
This might be a little too late but click the minus looking box on the far right, it should make a text box for you.

I don't know if this fits into your time zone, but here's a one I'm running tonight at 9:30 PM CDT:  —Summary- A paranoid Druid named Damieon wants protection for him and his daughter because the surrounding forest is filled with werewolves and the nearby village is full of snobbish idiots.  —Characters— First level, standard array, any WOTC (UA included material, except for Modern Magic) Material. I’m also allowing Mathew Mercer’s Blood Hunter since it fits with the setting. If you'd like to use Homebrew material, please ask, I'll do my best to find a solution that works for all parties. —Other— Session should be about two and a half hours long while Discord will be used. --FYI-- The werewolves in this one shot use homebrew statistics instead of the ones in the Monster Manual.
