Grid health for systems using hitboxes or different damage systems

Basic suggestion for a basic solution to a varied problem. I don't see a way to make an efficient workaround for keeping score of damage and other counters that go outside of the three counters on tokens right now. Especially without access to API. For systems with hitbox damage (head, arm, torso styles) there's not really a way of conveying it without drawing somewhere. A really basic workaround I can think of - spurred by my many hours in Word and Excel apparently - is being able to just make custom tables on tokens. ie. being able to make a table grid of x columns and y rows for each character, that we can easily access clicking on it. It's basic but it means you can share any value while in the system, easily and effectively. You could easily arrange a basic head/torso/arms/legs set-up, or you can just make tables like in any other software with names of stats and their values. It would also immediately fix compatibility with the White Wolf storyteller damage system which uses slashes and crosses as a default for tiers of damage, not numbers, and systems like the Narrative one going around right now which works better with scales. You can drum up a basic visual system easily and I find that important in any game display. Right now you could do a word processing version as a note or something but its trickier. I think this would be a really simple addition but it would be a really useful tool in the arsenal of anyone playing by a non-D&D/PF system, which are based entirely on simple numeric counters for the most part. If there is already this feature I really don't see it myself, and to me that suggests it could be made more accessible. If anyone thinks the current system is "good enough" then please remember that there are other games and other people with other styles of play that this could benefit, whereas this current one is extremely optimised for certain kinds of play right now. This is a basic addition that I think is worthwhile.

Have you tried using statusmarkers? Select a token, click the statusmarker bubble, and hover your mouse over the appropriate statusmarker. Without clicking your mouse, press a number 0-9. The token will get the statusmarker along with a red number on top of it. (0 gets the marker but no number.) Unfortunately, this solution only works for single digits without the API.
Status markers are hardly a decent workaround. It can be used but not very well. You still need to keep your own notes behind the scenes. And I don't think you can label status markers either.
I find this really annoying about status markers as well. While they're better than nothing, it's hard to give each marker context and keep track of which one means what. In video games, you can generally tell what the markers mean because they ALWAYS mean this or that, when it's done on the fly by a GM just looking for an appropriate-looking symbol it's a lot less clear. What happens in practice is players will put every status marker on their token like they're stickers on a lunchbox, then get irritated when the GM says no and never actually makes much use of the symbols anyways.
Yeah but maybe that can be saved for its own thread. I agree though, and if I were to suggest a workaround it would be using the notes system to make an All Players note with all the statuses. For now.
