[LFG] DnD 5e [UTC -6]

I'm looking for a text based, 5E DnD campaign that wouldn't mind taking on a relative newcomer. I have slight experience, as I used to play a campaign with some friends, but since moving that is not an option any longer. I'm free mostly on the weekends to play; any weekday games would need to START no earlier than 8:30 - 9:00 PM CST.

What do you mean by text based? As in a chat format, versus video/voice? 

Yes

As much of a fan I am of text based RPing (and often encourage it between "main story" sessions when we're all together), it... takes a VERY long time to do, and the voice sessions of D&D are already quite a time commitment. The DM having to write up descriptions, everyone having to read them, writing an entire post with the possibility of misinterpreting what they've written- it gets a little messy. What are your reservations for doing it with voice? Video I understand, but talking things out goes a lot smoother. 

I just don't have a set up or dedicated area to do voice.
