terrible random static

were trying to play our first game fully on this and we are encountering terrible static feed back every 15 mins or so. it is terrible. any suggestions ?
to clarify we ran all ran in google chrome. we trouble shooted for a good 2 hours trying to get the static noise to stop. we determined that it was seemingly random. It came and went randomly. for the last hour of play it was more static than microphone. no one person was making the noise.
Were you using the native WebRTC voice/video built into Roll20?
yes. Also, we tried to switch to the built in flash; we found the flash to be problematic for certain players.
Have you tried using the Google hangouts option? It does eat up more screen space, but also tends to be quite stable and works for many people.
We, dabbled with it a bit. Does every one need to sign into a google ++ account to use it? We will most certainly be using a different communication app next game. I just wanted to help report the tech problem. It is far beyond my knowledge and certainly could have been an issue with a players computer. However, that seems unlikely due to the amount of tests we ran. So it goes; the interface works beautifully for game play. Thanks for the help .
The report was definitely appreciated, Alexander. I believe that everyone has to have a google account, yes, but the GM can launch the campaign from the Roll20 site (via the launch in google + hangouts option on the campaign details page) and invite their players to the hangout.
