Hi I'm looking for a group that would suit a first timer. I've read the players handbook cover to cover, have a pretty good idea of the gist, in my 30s, long time gamer and nerd so familiar with the general landscape but never played D&D before. I played a game of Microscope with some friends of mine where I facilitated it, but I couldn't keep the group going. So I decided to look online and came across Roll20. I love podcasts and found the Find the Path podcast there they go through a sizeable game of PathFinder. I believe it's based off D&D 5E (I'm learning the jargon). I'd prefer voice but would do text too. I'm based in GMT timezone and evenings suit me best, so that's maybe 9pm - 2am, maybe once or twice (max) a week. If you're in a different timezone it could work as long as this overlaps with your free times. I'm a software developer, gamer (played many RPGs which aren't a million miles away from D&D in terms of lore and whatnot), musician, actor, a bit of a renaissance man, I like to try my hand at lots of different things. Hopefully that's not TMI but get in touch if you have a spot in your group. I have a general idea of a few characters I could try depending on the setting you want to use.
