Looking for group: Pathfinder, In The Company of Dragons

I am looking to join a group that is willing to let me use In The Company of Dragons. It is a currently free open beta test that can be obtained from DriveThruRPG. I have read through it, I have compared it to many different races and classes, and even standard dragons and it is a very balanced way of having a 'draconic' character with the feel of being a dragon (well, they are dragon type) without overshadowing or overpowering what other race/class combinations can do. I live in Sydney, Australia, and can participate any day except Wednesday (local time) at any time between 9am and 9pm (local)
Hi Shannon, you've peaked my interest in this. I've down loaded the free beta PDF and have a few ideas rattling around. I've sent you a message, let me know if you got it. I live in the East coast of America (E.S.T.) Thanks.
Well, I've downloaded this as well but I have doubts about using a dragon. How do you see us interacting between on another as well as the environment and NPCs?
Hello, I'd would love to join this game if it gets going and you guys have room, I'm sure playing as or with a dragon would open up alot of ways for the group to accomplish things and it could definately add some amusing moments to the game.
Hi guys, Russ here. @ Goatman92- I envision the first couple of levels as mere dungeon crawls as we get used to each others play styles and hammer out the communications (I'd like to use Roll20, of course, Skype, Obsidian Portal web site to retain details of the game and also Mythweavers web site to hold your Character sheets.) In the beginning you all will be born of the same cretch, brothers and sisters unified in one nearly suicidal task, then as you become "ossified" you can choose any alignment (color) you want to play with one caveat... you are Dragons and everything you meet will fear and hate you. So even though there is a L.G. Gold teamed up with a C.E. Black it would behoove you to work together. At first. @Matthew L, Eventually I would like to give up the typical tasks of a DM and lay the goals of the Group squarely on the Groups shoulders. I'll set up a Land (strangely just like Grey Hawks Keoland area) and populate it then I'll just let Dragons be Dragons. I am a big fan of 2ond Edition 'Birthright' both it's Politics of Rulership and use of Mass Battles. Do you want to slaughter Frost Giants? Set up a puppet Kingdom? Force lesser races to worship you as a God? Hang out at a bar and brainstorm a way to get back home to the Isles? Tell me what you want, we'll hash it out and we'll come up with something worthy of our time (I hope!). About me. I'm pretty lazy and laid back. Not a big rules follower and will choose emotion over economics mostly, also I'm none too savey about computer tech- if something fails I will use the tried and true method of gently banging my computer till it fixes itself. I drive an hour to work each way which gives me a lot of time to dream up horrific ...er...Honorirific things to happen to you. I live in E.S.T. (New York time, America) See you soon---Russ
I'd also love to join in on this if there is room and it gets going, not sure if there will be an issue with timezones though as I'm in the UK (GMT+0), that being said, I'm free most evenings so if you can figure out a time, then I'll see if I could make it.

Hey Russ, I'm in! I'm on MST (GMT-7). My work schedule varies week to week, I often work evenings and weekends. Aside from that I'm flexible on game times!
Hey guys (at least I think you are guys...Goatman92's avatar picture looks alot like my old girlfriend) I have had no word from Shannon L but with you and another gent I know that makes 4 players and a DM. I'll start off by saying that I live in the Eastern Standard Time zone (New York, which is GMT-5 ) and my best days to play are Monday morning, all Tuesday, Wednesday morning, all Friday, all Saturday and Sunday night. That's not to say I'm free all that time, but I can make time to be free if it syncs up with you guys. I've been in contact with a guy named Tim from Colorado USA(GMT-7) Who is a mature longtime gamer and relatively new to Pathfinder. So far no word from Shannon L. I hope he gets back to this thread and joins up with us, being that he was at the start of all this. If it's OK with you, I'd like to set up a time where we could all meet on Roll20 and hash out..er...face to face the details of a game time, character creation and what we want out of playing a group of Dragons. Just message me back with your Time zone and preferred playing time and I'll come up with a meeting time. I'd like to start the game soon while interest is high and the iron is hot. Also @Adam O, Tim is a former UK-er too. I've set up a site here on Roll20, it's ominously called 'Here There Be Dragons'
(Hiro P. is Tim by the way)
hey, i'm new and would like to learn if you'll have me. i live in the usa (EST). im free this whole week and can talk about my schedul.

Well seeing as I'm currently still going to college atm, I'm free most evenings from around 4:30 onwards on weekdays aside from Wednesday and Thursday (While usually I'm free I've got exams coming so studying often occurs after hours). Friday would be a good time for me personally, unfortunately I DM a game of Rogue Trader Saturdays from around 2PM to 6PM GMT. Aside from that sunday I'm available whenever as I don't really have much to do that day currently.
Hey guys, from the responses so far I'm thinking I'd like to host a get together on Friday the 28th at 1900 (7:00 P.M.) GMT on the Roll20 site I made called Here There Be Dragons. I will message you the Site link after I post this so check your Roll20 messages. As it stands I don't know what Time zones goatman92 or Matthew L. are in, but it would be 2 P.M. at my house and also nick s (EST). , 12:00 noon where Hiro P lives (MST), 7:00 P.M. at Adam o's place and unfortunately 06:00 A.M. Saturday morning where Shannon L. lives in Sydney (sorry for that) What I'd like to do this Friday is firstly see who shows up. Then get an idea from you guys as to what type of adventure style you want to play (Over the top special effects? Subtitle manipulation? Constant Tactical Battles?) I'll say what my vision of the future is than we could hash out the best way to roll up Stats. In the end we can come up with a Start Date and done. Cookies and Beer for everybody. I'm looking forward to the meeting being that this is the first time I've ever hosted a game. Cheers---RussK

So did you want characters made in that time, cause I have a few questions about the character creation in general if so.

The premise of playing a dragon is definitely intriguing, and one I've never really contemplated in this fashion. I've had ideas for half-dragons, and I read a book series once that prominently featured weredragons in it that I really liked. A draconic bloodline sorcerer is the closest thing I can find to that, and is something I've always wanted to try but I've never gotten to play either, though not for lack of wanting to. If there happens to be room in this group, I would potentially be interested in a spot. After looking at the playtest it is definitely giving me plenty of fun ideas.
@Adam O. This being a whole new thing for all of us I thought we could talk as a group as to what would be best on Friday at 7:00 PM your time (GMT) Then you all could make characters for use for the next time we play, time to be determined. If we make characters that day and all seem ready to go I will have an adventure for 1st level Dragons waiting in the ..er...wings. @Matt A. I have experience as a DM but have found using VTT's slow me down so the less people the better for me. I welcome your enthusiasm, but if everyone shows up from this Forum Post so far we would have more players then I would be comfortable with and I may have to ask you to wait for another time. However maybe few people will show up and then you are in! I'll message you with the Roll20 Site Info for 'Here There Be Dragons' and will love to see you on Friday 7:00 PM GMT. (That's 2:00 PM here where I live in the Eastern US) Your ideas will be welcome.
The hell is "The Company of Dragons"? *does search* O.O *DOWNLOADS* uhm... i hate you so much right now... >-> sure ill join XD
@Kayoden, I'm sorry man, but I think we have 5 players now. Any more than that and my brain would explode all over the computer desk and I know how much my wife hates cleaning up gore. If anyone drops out or if things fall apart I'll make sure to get back with you. Thank you for your intrest---RussK
Russ, work has reared it's ugly head and I won't be able to join you on Friday. Apologies for the short notice. Catch you on Skype?
Cool, man. I'll fill you in on all the details.
OK I'm going to stop posting on this Community thread. Any other info we need to talk about can be done on the "Here There Be Dragons" Roll20 game site. @Shannon L. , Dude I thank you for coming up with this idea and I hope you get in contact with us soon. Thank You---RussK
